In June 2016, as part of the Open Government Action Plan, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) committed to increasing the transparency and usefulness of grants and contribution data and subsequently launched the Guidelines on the Reporting of Grants and Contributions Awards, effective April 1, 2018.
The rules and principles governing government grants and contributions are outlined in the Treasury Board Policy on Transfer Payments. Transfer payments are transfers of money, goods, services or assets made from an appropriation to individuals, organizations or other levels of government, without the federal government directly receiving goods or services in return, but which may require the recipient to provide a report or other information subsequent to receiving payment. These expenditures are reported in the Public Accounts of Canada. The major types of transfer payments are grants, contributions and \'other transfer payments\'.
Included in this category, but not to be reported under proactive disclosure of awards, are (1) transfers to other levels of government such as Equalization payments as well as Canada Health and Social Transfer payments. (2) Grants and contributions reallocated or otherwise redistributed by the recipient to third parties; and (3) information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

The organization will also strengthen its position as a leader in advancing the women’s movement in rural Ontario through the development and implementation of a co active leadership strategy that will increase the Centre’s leadership and advocacy competencies and engage stakeholders and develop partnership collaborations to mobilize change agents in Middlesex County.
Supplement funding will be used for hiring a videographer to create web-based training materials related to leadership development program.

Supplemental funds awarded in March 2023 will support the organization as they update the strategic plan and leadership toolkit developed with the original funds to include best practices on mental health supports for Women Entrepreneurs – a need that has emerged through the Covid-19 pandemic, and then promote these findings through their partners and stakeholder communities.

The 12-month extension and supplementary funding will enable the organization to collaborate in establishing a service pathway to address sexual violence on Cree territory, to make services for 2SLGBTQI+ survivors of sexual violence more accessible and complementary, to increase the impact and effectiveness of prevention programs at the sexual assault help centre (CALACS), and to revisit its ways of working and internal resources so that they can be adapted to promote inclusion

This 57-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic changes towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: human resources management, partnership development, collaboration and networking, and development of a claims strategy.
Also, the objectives of the project aim to strengthen the women's movement in Quebec and, more specifically, that of the Réseau des tables régionales (network of regional tables), in order to work together to improve the living conditions of women (economic security, battle against violence, and citizen participation for women). The Network will work to strengthen its structures, specify its bases for common action and develop mechanisms that would make it possible to both meet women's needs and respect regional differences.
The 12-month extension and supplementary funding will be used to develop a strategic plan, establish a basis of unity on women’s health, and formulate a women’s health policy strategy. A community of practice on regional collaborative and cooperative projects focused on women’s health and wellbeing will be established. Through this community of practice, organization members will be able to jointly acquire the tools to carry out regional projects aimed at strengthening connections between the healthcare and community networks.
