This 48-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: develop and implement a strategic blueprint to improve organizational capacity and governance, develop and launch a communications platform to improve organizational and administrative efficiency, and conduct monitoring and renewal activities to inform future programming.

This 60-month project will pilot and evaluate the effects of establishing a legal navigator service to provide survivors of violence in Labrador with a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed and wrap-around approach.

This 48-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: development of a culturally informed, Indigenous community led Strategic Action Framework for long-term action, advocacy, and partnership development to address gender-based violence in Alberta’s urban and rural centers.

This 26-month project will strengthen the organizational capacity of OCTEVAW with a particular focus on communications and outreach, advocacy and revenue generation. Capacity building activities will include the development of an advocacy strategy and tool kit, a knowledge transfer strategy, a comprehensive communications strategy, and a digital media strategy. OCTEVAW will also identify and develop revenue generation strategies to ensure its long-term sustainability.

The supplemental funding will be used to develop a strategic plan that integrates and centres the needs of 2SLGBTQIAS+, Black, Indigenous and People of Colour.

This 26-month project will strengthen the organizational capacity of OCTEVAW with a particular focus on communications and outreach, advocacy and revenue generation. This 60-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: training and skills development for Indigenous women from the FSIN Women’s Secretariat, SFNWC Advisory Circle, and Tribal Council Women’s Commissions and staff in the areas of research, advocacy, and facilitation techniques to enhance leadership and advocacy capacity.

The supplemental funds will be used to research and implement a targeted approach to securing future funding through grants and contributions. The organization will build a toolkit and manual to ensure the sustainability of the work done to increase the organization’s capacity.

This 60-month Project will support the long-term viability of the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre to advance gender equity for women, Trans, Two-Spirit, and Gender-Diverse survivors of sexual assault by building a strong foundation for an innovative, healthy, and stable workplace culture through the development of a staff engagement strategy, strategic plan, succession plans for key roles in the organization, and policies and procedures based on anti-oppressive feminist values. The Project will address the need to mitigate the risk of staff turnover, develop a robust and healthy work culture, and provide a clear vision, strategic direction, and measurable goals for future growth.

Supplemental funding will be used to assess and improve human resources management systems and processes, enhance board recruitment process to ensure equity, diverse representation, and accessibility, and to diversify funding sources (e.g., monthly donor program and donor database)

This 60-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: development and implementation of a sustainability plan to enhance organizational financial health.

The supplemental funding will be used to review and identify gaps in strategic planning and to develop and implement a strategic five-year development plan, including review of roles and responsibilities, accountability and monitoring of progress.

This 60-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: development and implementation of a sustainability plan, a viable social enterprise model, and improving grant writing capacity to enhance organizational financial health.

The supplemental funds received in January 2021 will be used to increase additional capacity building activities, improve capacity to serve clients, and contribute to the organization’s social enterprise and income diversification goals.

The supplemental funds received in March 2023 will be utilized to develop Human Resources products and tools, strengthen the Human Resources recruitment and retention plans, and improve staff performance measurement.
