This project will test and evaluate the application of the Aboriginal Women's Intervention as a promising practice in the Downtown Eastside neighbourhood of Vancouver, including its expansion to the experiences of immigrant women, in order to improve the health and well-being of women survivors of intimate partner violence who have left abusive partners.

This 24-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the Young Women's Christian Association of Cambridge (YWCA Cambridge) to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the development of a social enterprise model connected to the local food industry that will create opportunities to advance the economic security of women and gender non-conforming individuals who face barriers and discrimination in finding employment and meaningful connections, as well as provide sustainable funding for YWCA Cambridge.

The project will test and evaluate a comprehensive low-barrier, peer-support, survivor-centric and trauma-informed approach for criminalized (cis and trans) women survivors of gender-based violence in the Metro Vancouver region in British Columbia, in order to address barriers to accessing support services.

This 48-month project will address the organization’s capacity needs to continue improving the economic, health, education and overall standard of living for Indigenous women and advancing gender equality in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through board governance training, organizational financial health, partnership development, human resource management, and advocacy.

This 48-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. The organization will develop and implement a detailed knowledge-transfer plan within the organization to ensure the delivery of continuous quality services and organizational sustainability.

The additional amount granted will be used to create an added knowledge transfer and acquisition tool, i.e., a series of short videos featuring concrete examples of feminist principles at work in the daily life of a sexual assault support centre.

This 48-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow YWCA Sudbury to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced by building and maintaining a culture of leadership continuity.

The additional funding will cover the costs of implementing the Women In Safe Housing (W.I.S.H.) database to help deliver online staff training and development sessions.

This 36-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: developing and implementing a data collection system; hiring and training of staff on the applications of this data collection system; training for board of directors; strategic planning; developing HR material, policies and procedures.

The additional funding will be used to undertake the development of an operational and policy analysis with a GBA+ lens, to hire external specialists to assist the organization with advancement of activities in specific areas, and to train staff.

This 48-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: Board governance, Strategic Planning, Human Resource Management, and Organizational Financial Health.

A supplement has been allocated to improve the technology, acquire new equipment and train staff.

This 48-month project will address organization capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: development of a provincial strategic plan, including an implementation plan with strategic pillars; development of a sustainability plan and assessment of current practices to improve the strategy for advocating for the rights of women who have been subjected to violence; establishment of memoranda of understanding with various partners at the provincial, municipal and community levels to help improve the sector's sustainability; collaboration with a consultant prior to assessing awareness activities; development of a human resources management plan; and development of a website for the network.

Supplemental funding has been provided to offer training to staff, improve the website, enhance sector capacity by hosting events and workshops, and participate on the provincial committee.

This 60-month project will evaluate and show that the organization's relationship health intervention practice is a model example to provide, real, effective support for transient women who are victims of gender-based violence.
