This three and a half months project will create working groups, corresponding to four of the five pillars of the GBV National Action Plan At-A-Glance (Support for survivors and their families; Prevention; Promotion of responsive legal and justice systems; and Social infrastructure and enabling environment), to lead and coordinate sector strategic input while ensuring representation across the country.

Women’s Shelter Canada (WSC) will ensure that the working groups are provided a common framework and tools to help guide strategic discussions. The working groups will conduct research to ensure that evidence-based recommendations are provided in their individual pillar-based reports. WSC will prepare a final report summarizing the four reports and strategic recommendations for action.

Work specifically on Support for Indigenous-led approaches and responses will be addressed through engagement sessions with Indigenous leaders, partners, communities and the Indigenous Women’s Circle.

This 12-month project will strengthen the capacity of SPECTRUM Waterloo Region's Rainbow Community Space to advance LGBTQ2 equality. This will be achieved by improving board governance; developing a strategic plan; and focusing on sustainability, succession and financial planning. The project will also increase access to evidence, data, information, and knowledge sources by performing an environmental scan to assess community needs; and will build the capacity by offering skills training as well as sensitivity training opportunities.

At the end of the project, the organization will have increased knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.

This 27-month project will strengthen the capacity of SPECTRUM Waterloo Region's Rainbow Community Space to advance LGBTQ2 equality. This will be achieved by improving board governance, developing a strategic plan and focusing on sustainability, succession and financial planning. The project will also increase access to evidence, data, information, and knowledge sources by performing an environmental scan to assess community needs and will build the capacity by offering skills training as well as sensitivity training opportunities.

Supplemental funding (Phase 2 of the project) will be used to provide additional training to continue to 1) improve board governance and accessibility; 2) implement improvements to the lending library database and directory of services for transgender people informed by the data gathered through Phase I of the project; 3) develop a corporate fundraising plan, and a community engagement program to help the organization better meet the needs of Black, Indigenous, and racialized 2SLGBTQ+ people.

At the end of the project, the organization will have increased knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.

This 16-month project aims to strengthen the capacity of Divers-Gens to promote LGBTQ2 equality. The following activities will achieve the project objectives: supporting human resource management and organizational governance capacity; ensuring long-term sustainability through the development of a fundraising strategy; and developing knowledge about their target population to advance LGBTQ2 equality.

By the end of the project, the organization will have increased its knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.

This 16-month project will strengthen the capacity of AlterHéros to promote LGBTQ2 equality. This will be achieved by supporting management capacity, governance by the board of directors, internal policy updates, strategic and organizational planning and preparation of a financial plan.

The organization will also develop its internal funding skills to diversity its sources of income. The board of directors will develop financial literacy skills to strengthen its ability to raise funds.

By the end of the project, the organization will have improved its knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.

This 16-month project will strengthen GRIS-Québec's capacity to promote LGBTQ2 equality in the greater Capitale-Nationale region. The following activities will achieve the project's objectives: develop strategic planning, diversify and modernize its funding sources to ensure its long-term survival, and conduct a market study to implement the Maison de la diversité (a diversity centre) to make the rental expenses of user-organizations more affordable, and to improve inter-organizational cooperation and partnership.

By the end of the project, the organization will have increased its knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. In addition, it will have established or strengthened partnerships and collaboration in support of the LGBTQ2 movement.

This 16-month project will strengthen the capacity and networks of the Coalition des familles LGBT to promote LGBTQ2 equality. The following activities will achieve the project's objectives: strengthen inter-organizational collaboration (especially through formal networking and resource/service sharing with LGBTQ2 organizations in 7 administrative regions of Quebec and non-LGBTQ family organizations working with racialized and Indigenous peoples); promote LGBTQ2 equality through an intersectional transverse approach (through a broad-based intersectional LGBTQ2 family consultation to better understand the challenges and needs of the most marginalized members); and increase organizational communication capacity to improve dialogue and reflect the realities and needs of members.

By the end of the project, the organization will have increased its knowledge and capacity to advance equality with regard to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.

This 16-month project aims to build the capacity and network of Fondation Émergence to promote LGBTQ2 equality. The following activities will help achieve the objectives of the project: carry out a complete, major and in-depth review of the governance structure; carry out strategic planning; update and produce new policies and guidelines; and produce and operationalize an action plan formalizing the pan-Canadian network.

By the end of the project, the organization will have increased its knowledge and capacity to advance equality with regard to gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. In addition, partnerships and collaborations will have been established or strengthened to support the LGBTQ2 movement.

This 16-month project will strengthen the capacity of RÉZO to promote LGBTQ2 equality. The project objectives will be achieved through the following activities: ensuring long-term sustainability by diversifying funding sources through the development of a financial autonomy strategy and the creation of an IT infrastructure to support financial management.

By the end of the project, the organization will have increased its knowledge and capacity to advance equality in terms of gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity and expression.

This 16-month project will strengthen the capacity and network of Centre Interligne to advance LGBTQ2 equality. The project objectives will be achieved through the following activities: develop tools to increase governance, management (administrative, financial, human resources) and philanthropic effectiveness; establish partnerships to better reach and serve Canadian Francophone communities outside Quebec; and improve current tools to better reach and serve Quebec’s Anglophone communities.

By the end of the project, the organization will have increased its knowledge and capacity to advance equality in terms of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. In addition, partnerships and collaborations will have been established or strengthened to support the LGBTQ2 movement.
