This 3-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities include: the coordination of family support groups as well as a healing through traditional sewing workshops.

This 11-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include working with families, survivors or their community to develop and implement commemoration initiatives to honor the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S from their Nations. This project will take place in 6 northern shelters.

This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: working with those affected to support their grieving process and promote healing through the coordination for four healing circles and in Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and Ile-a-la-Cross . In addition each community hopes to establish a commemoration wall.

This 8-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: the coordination of a welcome home ceremony that will involve an honouring, remembering, and healing ceremony, workshops on Métis culture, violence prevention, safety and a community feast.

This 44-month project will support Pauktuutit to co-develop, with Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami’s National Inuit Youth Council, a national dialogue and action plan on gender equality. Young people from across the four Inuit Nunangat regions and urban areas will come together with Pauktuutit staff and youth board members through virtual and face-to-face discussions, with themes, trends and ideas captured to shape the creation of appropriate communications and outreach strategies. A range of activities will be considered, from organizing web-based events, to the creation of an electronic platform or online training and mentoring to build the capacity and confidence of Inuit youth to be able to advocate for gender equality. Support activities will include building skills for gender-based analysis plus to create understanding of intersectionality and empower youth to identify and respond to gender equality barriers and negative gender norms in their communities. The website, tools and other resources created through the project will be publically launched.

This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: a commemorative monument, family gathering, educational activities as well as the creation of an informative toolkit.

VESTA will develop and evaluate a trauma-informed and survivor-focused third-party reporting platform for survivors of sexual assault or gender-based violence. The project will address the issue of under-reporting and reduce the number of unreported cases of sexual harassment.

This 10-week project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include a Day of Healing conference, “Honouring our Life Givers” for the families of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and LGBTQ2S individuals to support their personal healing and create space for their voices. The conference will include a review of the MMIWG Commission’s Report; a presentation on Women’s Roles and Responsibilities; traditional Hoop Dancing; Healing Circles; as well as a commemorative painted tipi, for public installation, to support both continued education and healing.

Project activities will include an art installation, unveiling ceremony, and a community feast.

This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: coordination and support of commemoration initiatives in four different Cree communities, celebration of vigils, organization of family sharing circles and skirt making workshops, creation and installation of commemorative plaques based on a local and culturally relevant design, distribution of promotional materials, and publication of an awareness-raising newsletter in local media.
