About this information
In June 2016, as part of the Open Government Action Plan, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) committed to increasing the transparency and usefulness of grants and contribution data and subsequently launched the Guidelines on the Reporting of Grants and Contributions Awards, effective April 1, 2018.
The rules and principles governing government grants and contributions are outlined in the Treasury Board Policy on Transfer Payments. Transfer payments are transfers of money, goods, services or assets made from an appropriation to individuals, organizations or other levels of government, without the federal government directly receiving goods or services in return, but which may require the recipient to provide a report or other information subsequent to receiving payment. These expenditures are reported in the Public Accounts of Canada. The major types of transfer payments are grants, contributions and \'other transfer payments\'.
Included in this category, but not to be reported under proactive disclosure of awards, are (1) transfers to other levels of government such as Equalization payments as well as Canada Health and Social Transfer payments. (2) Grants and contributions reallocated or otherwise redistributed by the recipient to third parties; and (3) information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: human resources management, board governance, partnerships, collaboration and networking, diversification of funding, and intergenerational knowledge transfer between founders and successors. The project will also integrate reflexive-interactive practices into the Regroupement's organizational structures, and more broadly into the the work culture of the member and partner network. Reflexive-interactive practices focus succession training on organizational change towards passing on memory and integrating new approaches by the new generation of feminist advocates and stakeholders.

This 36-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow Rexdale Women's Centre to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the creation of a strategic plan and methodological tools, to be shared with other organizations seeking to create their own strategic plans that integrate a gender-based analysis plus approach (GBA+), ultimately allowing the organization to reposition themselves as a community resource for learning. Rexdale Women's Centre will also establish a succession plan for the Board of Directors, as well as senior and mid-level leadership, to ensure the continuity of a common organizational vision.

Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: development of a sustainability plan, inclusive of human resources and retention strategies, as well as collaboration and networking. This organization will increase capacity to deliver innovative and relevant programming for women, particularly those in remote, rural and Indigenous communities.
The additional funds will be used to enhance and strengthen partnerships and external relations, expand revenue and sources of capital and enhance program policy design, implementation and engagement with underrepresented groups including indigenous women.

This 57-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: strategic planning through consultation with stakeholders; the implementation of results-based management and the exploration of social enterprise development models; and the strengthening of organizational leadership through mentorship.
Supplemental funding will be used to develop a strategic communications plan resources for ShEvalesco social enterprise, create and implement key human resources policy and procedure documentation and create an internal leadership mentoring program for ShEvalesco youth staff.
