The project will create and pilot a home visitation protocol combining cultural safety and a trauma-informed approach in screening for violence and connecting racialized gender-based violence (GBV) survivors and their children with supports.

The additional funding will allow to double the number of training workshops provided to home visitation workers and to increase the salaries and benefits for project staff and the administrative expenditures required to support the project implementation.

This 60-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue empowering immigrant, migrant women and girls and advancing gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities; expanding board governance; strategic planning; develop GBA+ approach to advocacy; diversification of funding sources; and partnership building.

Supplementary funding will be used to further build internal capacity, to hire a part-time employee in order to address growing demand for services and to develop sector capacity while continuing to build partnerships.

The extension in time and additional funds will allow the organization to strengthen its sector coalitions presence and develop immigrant and migrant women' formal and informal cultural networks and partnerships in Nova Scotia.

The project will test the implementation of Community Advocacy Networks which are formal partnerships with stakeholders working on gender-based violence (GBV) issues, in order to deliver culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed and survivor-centric practices for non-status, refugee and immigrant (NSRI) women.

This project will implement and evaluate a Collective Impact approach to address gender-based violence (GBV) across the province involving stakeholders from different sectors working together to expand the capacity to address GBV in Saskatchewan.

This project will develop and test a Rapid Incidence Response (RIR) approach to respond more effectively to incidents of violence targeting LGBTQ2S communities, by mobilizing resources, improving methods of communication, and establishing a formal advocacy response when incidents of violence occur.

This 60-month project will test the implementation of Community Advocacy Networks – which are formal partnerships with stakeholders working on gender-based violence issues – as a promising practice to deliver culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed and survivor-centric practices for non-status, refugee and immigrant women.

This project will implement and evaluate promising practices of Trauma Stewardship as a critical component of sexual violence and gender-based violence (GBV) work to improve service delivery for survivors of sexual violence, especially underserved populations such as Indigenous women and women in rural communities.

This project will adapt, test and evaluate a multi-agency risk management model for survivors. The Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) model has been tested and rolled out in more than 250 communities across the United Kingdom (UK) and will be adapted to ensure it meets the needs of diverse Canadian populations. Following testing and evaluation in an urban and rural or remote setting, a flexible and relevant blueprint of the model will be developed and disseminated across the country.

This project will reduce barriers to access to services for women in northern, rural and remote communities through mobile service delivery and increased partnerships between service providers.

This project will develop and test the provision of trauma-and survivor-informed, feminist, intersectional, and anti-oppressive services to LGBTQ2 and gender non-conforming survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), as well as youth and Indigenous women within this group.
