Through this 23-month project, Dignity Network Canada (DNC) will strengthen its foundation, cultivating a more resilient, sustainable, and interconnected network dedicated to advancing 2SLGBTQI+ equality and human rights. The project aims to enhance the capacity and resilience
of DNC, enabling active participation in the global movement for human rights, freedom, and inclusion.

To achieve this, the project will ensure that the network possesses the essential resources, infrastructure, funding, and partnerships. This involves crafting a comprehensive multi-year strategic plan, refining fundraising development strategies, nurturing donor relationships, and establishing an updated, secure, and interactive bilingual website.

Key activities include engaging both community and government stakeholders, developing and endorsing strategic planning documents, and creating resources and tools to reinforce financial resilience and communication efforts. This project serves not only as a strategic roadmap for
organizational growth but also as a commitment to fortifying their position as a leading advocate for 2SLGBTQI+ rights.

Through this 28-month project, AGIR: Action LGBTQ+ avec les immigrantEs et les réfugiéEs will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality.

It will address the needs of keeping up with the significant growth of the organization in order to meet the growing needs.

The project will include assuring long-term financial sustainability, building up strong foundations of their internal structures, and solidifying the leadership of LGBTQ+ migrants and refugees within the organization.

Through this 28-month project, the Quebec Lesbian Network will strengthen the capacity and networks of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. The project will address lesbian, bisexual, and queer women’s invisibility within the 2SLGBTQI+ community in Canada as well as the need to develop a more inclusive approach for bisexual and immigrant women and for non-binary and transfeminine people. The project will include developing a survey and a Canada-wide conference, consulting with excluded and marginalized groups of women+, compiling a collection of texts by sexually diverse immigrant women, developing inclusive tools, and integrating an intersectional perspective into the organization.

This 28-month project will increase immigrant and refugee women’s economic security and prosperity in Nova Scotia. It will develop entrepreneurial, financial and leadership skills and reduce barriers immigrant and refugee women face in response to entrepreneurial progress and advancement.

This will be achieved by enhancing awareness of women’s entrepreneurial needs with financial service provides, investors, and community partners, increasing awareness of gender inclusive practices, increasing collaboration among immigrant community service providers, and promoting women-led product and service-based businesses.

Through this 16-month project, Rainbow Service Organization will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality, wellbeing, and inclusion. The project will include engaging with 2SLGBTQI+ community members in the Peterborough City and County to better determine their needs and align services; a needs assessment report and follow-up next steps report to address gaps and challenges will be developed. The project will also include collaboration with various community stakeholders by establishing a 2SLGBTQIA+ Coalition that will work towards developing an action plan based on the needs assessment and next steps reports.

Through this 28-month project, Tools of Empowerment for Success (TOES Niagara) will develop and put in place a code of conduct to prevent human trafficking in the hospitality and tourism industry in the Niagara region to strengthen the GBV sector, based in part on ECPAT International's The Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism. It will address the need to provide awareness, tools and support to the hospitality and tourism industry to prevent human trafficking of vulnerable populations (e.g., women, racialized, newcomers) working and living in the Niagara region. To do so, the project will establish a multi-stakeholder steering committee that will develop and adapt a local Code of Conduct based in part on the ECPAT model with input from the community including survivors and at-risk populations. The local Code will be implemented among pilot organizations and policy development support and training will be provided to these organizations to facilitate a successful implementation. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of the promising practice. TOES Niagara will organize outreach events to share information on the promising practice with key employers in major border cities so that they may replicate it or expand upon it within their own organizations.

Through this 28-month project, Pride PEI will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQIA+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQIA+ equality. It will address and meet the needs of their local community by aiming to better define the role of Pride PEI and invest in the tools needed to strengthen its board and governance procedures. It will also support efforts to address its financial capacity and sustainability, and of other queer serving organizations. The project will include the development and implementation of Pride PEI’s first strategic plan, work to expand their governance and operational manuals, policies, and procedures. It will also provide support to other queer serving organizations in their advocacy initiatives. This collaborative effort will focus on resource sharing among organizations to offer a reliable and equitable flow of resources to strengthen partner organizations, which will foster sustainability and collective growth in the community.

Through this 28-month project, Young Women's Christian Association of Kitchener-Waterloo will scale a promising practice which is a combination of two successful employment, entrepreneurship, and reskilling programs (In Her Shoes: for Youth & In Her Shoes: Newcomer Women) to strengthen the GBV sector. It will scale to women and gender-diverse people who are unhoused or unable to sustain housing because of GBV. It will address the gaps, uncovered biases, and common barriers identified by the staff and participants. To do so, the project will include the replication of the existing promising practice with a new population; engaging key at-risk and underserved populations; provide cohort sessions; refine cohort sessions; and build evidence on scaled promising practices. Young Women's Christian Association of Kitchener-Waterloo will develop knowledge sharing methods of the project learnings and model with GBV initiatives and with the WAGE GBV Knowledge Centre to share information on the promising practice with others so that they may replicate it or expand upon it.

Through this 17-month project, Elevate Equity will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address organizational gaps in governance, financial health and strategic planning. The project will include a needs mapping of the financial health of the organization, the creation of a fundraising learning platform for partner organizations, and the development of a collective governance structure, policies and procedures, and a strategic plan.

Through this 28-month project, WorQshop: Building Safer Spaces will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address the organization’s need for stronger management, governance, collaboration and evaluation capacity to diversify and advance 2SLGBTQIA+ equality . The project will include creating a financial plan, developing a human resources management strategy, developing the board’s governance skills, expanding the organization’s collaboration and onboarding diverse volunteers, as well as implementing a results evaluation plan.
