Through this 16-month project, Cultura will build stronger capacity of 2SLGTBQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGTBQI+ equality. It will address the need to develop an organization that supports 2SLGBTQI+ newcomers, refugees, BIPOC and cultural minorities living in Toronto to express their culture and traditions through artistry. The project will include the incorporation of the organization, the development of an organizational structure and key governance processes, and investigation of options for long-term financial sustainability.

Through this 28-month project, Halifax Pride will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, specifically for the 2SLGBTQIA+ non-profit sector and the QTBIPOC community at large in Nova Scotia. This will be achieved by conducting outreach initiatives through surveys and interviews to gather information and identify gaps for both individuals and community organizations, and by creating public accessed focus groups related to skill development and access to professional opportunities regionally. At the end of the project, Halifax Pride will have developed anti-oppression and anti-racism guidelines and best practices for 2SLGTBQIA+ non-profit sector, and offer recommendations to improve skill development, access, and engagement for the QTBIPOC community.

Through this 16-month project, Shelter Movers will build its capacity to advance gender equality. This will be achieved by addressing fundraising skills gaps so the organization can secure sustainable funding to continue providing moving and storage services to women and children fleeing domestic abuse. Project activities will include restructuring and growing the national fund development team, creating and overseeing new volunteer roles, completing a SWOT analysis of current policies and procedures to identify risks and gaps, updating fundraising tools and database, and developing a 5-year strategic fund development plan. Ultimately, by improving fundraising skills and processes, Shelter Movers will be better equipped to increase its sustainability, and continue to help women secure their fundamental right to live in safety.

Through this 28 -month project, West Flat Citizens Group Inc. will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities. This will be achieved by promoting agency, establishing leadership council of Indigenous members of the 2SLGBTQIA and creating tools for use in the broader community to address barriers and discrimination, promoting inclusion and collaboration through coalition and network The organization will use cultural and arts-based methods to create and share knowledge and education to promote equality and wellbeing of 2SLGBTQI+ individuals across the province.

Through this 28-month project, Cercle de Jeunes Rainbow-GTA will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities. To achieve this, a project committee will work to identify the barriers faced by new French-speaking immigrant and refugee members of the 2SLGBTQI+ community in Durham Region; solutions adapted to specific needs will then be identified. The organization will plan information sessions to validate the barriers and solutions with members of various 2SLGBTQI+ communities in the region. A final report including key findings and recommendations will be developed and distributed within 2SLGBTQI+ communities.

Through this 28-month project, the Conseil québécois LGBT will address 2SLGBTQI+ communities’ needs and barriers to equality, and it will work to permanently remove barriers to employment for trans and non-binary people and for 2SLGBTQIA+ people more broadly. To achieve this, the organization will conduct a needs analysis and collect data, produce a recommendation guide promoting the development of inclusive practices for employment assistance services, develop interactive training for professionals supporting job seekers that educates and equips staff to serve 2SLGBTQIA+ people, and finally, support organizations that provide employment services in implementing lasting practices for inclusion.

Through this 28-month project, York Pride Fest will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities. This will be achieved through a partnership with Safety Experts to perform organizational assessments on organization(s) serving 2SLGBTQI+ community that will result in risk mitigation plans and provide resources to address and/or avoid hate motivated incidents. In parallel, the organization will meet with ethnic minority communities to dispel misinformation and misconceptions regarding 2SLGBTQI+ communities and work with York Regional Police to better support trans and non-binary victims. In collaboration with partners, the organization will organize a community forum to share information on available programming and resources, collect data, stories, lived experiences, and gather feedback from the stakeholders to improve services and program delivery.

Through this 28-month project, Sunshine House Inc. will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities by providing sectoral support in Manitoba to improve services and meet the needs of 2SLGBTQI+ populations experiencing houselessness and the intersections of race, substance abuse, poverty, and surviving in urban environments. This will be achieved by enhancing their Community Advisory Circle, completing a literature review and a full report on the 2SLGBTQI+ Housing Insecurity in Winnipeg as well as establishing a Community of Practice to develop and disseminate knowledge translation and educational materials with best practices and trainings. Sunshine House Inc will complete an impact assessment on their project to support future learning in their efforts to address the Winnipeg housing and support service sector gaps and provide guidance to service providers on how to work effectively with housing insecure 2SLGBTQI+ community members.

Through this 28-month project, Northern BC Queer Connection Society will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities by promoting the history of the 2SLGBTQI+ people in Northern British Columbia.
This will be achieved through community engagement and consultations and by seeking out participants who agree to be filmed sharing their challenges and success with the 2SLGBTQI+ movement in rural and remote areas of Northern British Columbia. A short documentary will be created from the stories shared, and materials for a book will be complied.

Through this 16-month project, Call Auntie will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the need to: support urban Indigenous women’s sexual and reproductive health across the Greater Toronto Area; better meet and reflect the diverse needs of Call Auntie’s Indigenous staff and clients (Indigenous, low income); put in place an equitably paid workforce who will be more likely to stay in their positions and provide long-term support to clients. The project will include A) building team cultural knowledge and skills to serve a greater diversity of clients; B) increasing staff wellness and equity for greater workforce stability; C) building collective capacity for Indigenous-led trauma informed care; and D) improving organization decision making (governance/policy).
