This applied research initiative will deliver a production-ready AI platform that simultaneously predicts shelf-life and key sensory attributes—such as colour stability, texture retention, and flavor degradation—of food products, using detailed formulation, processing, and packaging data. The project builds directly on an earlier collaboration between Griffith and WIMTACH (Technology Access Centre at Centennial College), where two separate models were successfully developed as proof-of-concept prototypes. This next phase transforms those early research outputs into a fully deployable solution, capable of delivering actionable insights across Griffith’s research and development workflows.

This project aims to assess the potential of extracting valuable insights/specific data from the millions of chick images already collected. These insights could offer added value to Chick Pick’s clients. The project also involves establishing the necessary technical infrastructure to support this initiative.

The objectives of the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy Program (YESSP) are to help all youth navigate through the labour market and to successfully transition into sustained employment. These objectives are attained by supporting the needs of all youth, especially youth facing barriers to develop skills, knowledge and networks through education, skills development and meaningful work experiences.

Additional field trialing will allow for the collection of large amounts of data to use in the development of an edge inference machine learning interface to improve system accuracy.

The Project will support pilot testing of AI strategies, determine target architecture and quantitative technical objectives for implementation of an AI solution for vehicle lead automation.

8 Bit Cortex has leveraged bootstrapping and non-dilutive funding to develop an MVP gamified learning management system (LMS) to enhance engagement and tracking of wellness data. 8 Bit Cortex has validated the market need for an LMS to host addiction recovery programs, enabling automated measurement and reporting of Addiction Recovery Capital consistent with the Alberta Recovery Model for stakeholders, such as government and insurers.

Canadian SKA Scientists pursue cutting-edge research which contributes to the advancement of our understanding of the universe through innovative instrumentation and technology and observational research. In addition, Canadian SKA Scientists support the Canadian astronomical community by developing, enhancing and maintaining the capacity to scientifically exploit SKA data.

This project will contribute to the Arctic POlar Night EXperiment (PONEX) campaign, which is a sub-orbital component of the Canadian Space Agency’s High-altitude Aerosols, Water vapour and Clouds (HAWC) mission. PONEX will involve a coordinated ground-based and aircraft field campaign in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, in January 2026 and will be the first such campaign to employ aircraft during polar night. This project will support two trainees, who will participate in the deployment, operation, and data analysis of two of the ground-based instruments: a scanning Doppler Lidar and a Water Vapour Lidar, both provided by Environment and Climate Change Canada. These instruments will measure vertical wind profiles, cloud base heights, planetary boundary layer heights, aerosol backscatter profiles, and water Docusign Envelope ID: F463D985-E1B1-4924-AD6E-88066E1BE7B5 vapour profiles. These measurements, in combination with other PONEX ground-based and aircraft datasets, will be used to undertake science investigations in support of the HAWC scientific objectives.
