Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.

This project delivers on Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy priorities of gender equality, women and girls’ empowerment, and human dignity.

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the Ethnic Chapter of the Colombian Peace Agreement through a feminist lens. The project also works to address the increase in post- Peace Agreement violence, particularly sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) against Afro-Colombian women and girls in Barbacoas, Buenaventura, the Caribe, Norte de Cauca, and Tumaco regions.
Project activities include: (1) conducting awareness raising activities on SGBV committed against Afro-Colombian women and girls; (2) increasing knowledge on services for survivors of SGBV, including domestic violence, through the publication and distribution of coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention and response materials; (3) conducting workshops to improve responses to SGBV by authorities and civil society operating in the focus regions of the project; (4) preparing and submitting to the Special Jurisdiction for Peace of an emblematic case on SGBV committed against Afro-Colombian women and girls; (5) holding community hearings on SGBV that promote healing and reconciliation; and (6) advocating for the continued implementation of the Ethnic Chapter through an Afro-Colombian feminist lens.

This is done by supporting their activities, building their institutional capacity and promoting network- and alliance-building, as women’s rights and feminist organizations are critical agents of change.

This project aims to support Sudan’s transition to a civilian-led, democratic, gender-equal state by addressing Sudan’s discriminatory legacy against women. This project contributes to legal reform, raises awareness, provides support for women’s political participation, and trains youth on human rights and feminism to sustain reforms in the future. Inter Pares works collaboratively with local counterparts to deepen women’s political power in Sudan through engagement with transitional political structures and foster an environment that supports women’s inclusion and addresses the root causes of misogyny and patriarchy in Sudan. Project activities include advocacy, capacity-building and relationship-building.

Developing a feminist response to gender-based violence during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia through training of women's organizations

Strenghtening Feminist Movement in Southeast Asia through Women's Movement Network

The Rise Up! Feminist Digital Archive will conduct 25 interviews with Toronto-based activists in the feminist movement from 1970 to 1998. The interviews will enhance the organization’s archival history of the feminist movement and be accessible to all.

Interviewees come from sectors, including equal pay, reproductive rights, lesbian rights, child care, women against violence against women, anti-Black racism, visible-minority women, immigrant women, Indigenous women, disability rights, the labour movement, and feminist publishing.

Through the support of 1,037 volunteer placements, it increases the participation of Canadians in international development and global issues and enhances the performance of 120 developing country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that promote gender equality. Partners include feminist organizations promoting women's economic empowerment, women's rights and the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence; national volunteer organizations promoting the social inclusion of marginalized groups in development efforts and the empowerment of women and girls ; youth associations that promote human rights, political participation of young women and marginalized groups as well as the sexual and reproductive he
