This International Co-Innovation Action Program (ICAP) project will prepare the firm to enter into future international co-innovation work in Japan.

mode40 will lead a Prairie pilot that onboards aerospace and defence suppliers into the AeroTrace Supplier Network and deploys a Canadian-sovereign Digital Manufacturing Passport capability to generate audit-ready traceability and validate controlled evidence exchange with Tier-1 integrators.

Developing an AI Model that will automatically map field boundaries from imagery. Field boundaries are often different than the cadastral boundaries.

The Firm will fully develop an AI-powered restaurant analytics dashboard that uses advanced language models and predictive AI to deliver real-time, plain-language insights that help restaurateurs make data-driven decisions. Key features include an AI natural-language query engine, intelligent staff and menu performance analytics, AI-assisted supplier comparison tools, and automated receipt processing using document AI. The system will be tested across a wide range of restaurant operations to validate model accuracy, explainability, usability, and commercial readiness. The goal is to empower restaurants with intuitive AI tools that simplify operations, improve efficiency, and increase profitability through actionable insights.

This project aims to develop and validate a novel matrix ultrasonic probe for inspecting composite structures used in modern eVTOL aircraft. Integrated into a portable inspection system and supported by machine learning–based automated analysis, the solution will improve inspection speed, defect detection accuracy, and operational reliability compared to conventional ultrasonic methods.

This project develops AI-enabled operational workflow systems that support safe, auditable, and progressively automated execution in aerospace and industrial manufacturing environments.
The system will capture unstructured operational information from day-to-day manufacturing activities, structure it into standardized formats, and route it through controlled, human-supervised workflows that support execution and traceability.
The objective is to reduce coordination failures, administrative overhead, and information loss in safety-critical environments, while maintaining human-in-the-loop oversight and aligning with aerospace and defence requirements for accountable, reliable, risk-managed AI adoption, enabling gradual AI execution.

As part of the international consortium project “CANNABIS-PHARMA”, the project aims to select and investigate cannabigerol-enriched cannabis plants that have anti-inflammatory and analgesic therapeutic value, using polyploidy and molecular fingerprinting technologies.

Support for Indigenous languages in emergency alerts remains limited across Canada. This project will research, develop, and validate the capability to deliver emergency notifications in the nine Indigenous languages recognized under Canada’s Official Languages Act. Work includes language and character-set support, translation workflows, and platform integration and testing to ensure alerts remain accurate, readable, and fast to deliver. The goal is to reduce barriers to adoption and improve accessibility for Indigenous communities by enabling inclusive, reliable, multilingual emergency communications.

ZeroSound Systems, an industrial active noise control company, seeks a second round of funding to build on its initial ICAP-supported venture in Australia. The first engagement enabled the company to identify established partners and clients in the urban infrastructure and utility sectors.

As a continuation of its original ICAP project, ZeroSound will be able to further expand upon its original efforts, focusing on developing its technology with the goal of delivering in-market paid pilots to prove the technology, validate its impact on noise-related project delays, and strengthen clear pathways to market adoption.
