Nunavummiut rely on several fish species for subsistence. These include arctic char, lake trout, and arctic grayling (Golder 2014). The proposed research project aims to assess fish populations in Nunavut by non-invasive eDNA metabarcoding technique, with the goal of better understanding the impact of climate change to local fisheries and their future prospects for sustainable use in the context of food security. Environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding is an emerging technology in environmental science, and is a cost-effective method used to determine species composition in freshwater lakes from a filtered water sample. Additionally, collection of water samples for chemical analysis will be carried out and final report will be produced.

Advance development of the firm’s software to optimize the routing component to better deal with the challenges related to creating, optimizing, and managing trucks and routes.

The project aims to understand and develop the technology to change workplace behavior at scale by transforming employee feedback results into evidence-based culture change strategies. This will entail the evolution of our internal expert built knowledge base, the refinement of AI-powered culture coaching recommendations and strategies, and the development of effective persuasive technology for nudging managers toward effective implementation of the strategies. If effective, the project will enable our platform to provide a cheaper, faster, more scalable solution to building healthy, high-performing cultures.

The youth under the supervision of the Principal Engineer will perform research in the area of fish habitat and limnology.

The youth will participate in field surveys, conduct literature reviews of water quality studies previously conducted and compile them as references for the corporate development of the limnology sector.

We are currently using a third-party application to add field data to our new system through the cloud-based API. Currently being limited to 3rd party software, we would like to begin a new project which will involve writing new mobile software from the ground up.

This mobile software will provide full a full in-field toolset for our inspection engineers including: dynamic inspection form display and submission, dispatch management, navigation, and command/control for proprietary hardware.
