Stratotegic is in the process of commercialising our research with Queen's University in autonomous navigation for High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS). The development of Flowie-U, an externally mounted ultrasonic water flow monitoring device that communicates using the LoRaWAN radio protocol. This will address some market barriers that currently exist with Flowie-O, such as water meter incompatibility, concerns with city utilities, difficult radio environments at some water meter locations and electromagnetic noise clouding water meter signal. Adoption of LoRaWAN will make Alert Labs’ products bidirectionally compatible with the wider ecosystem of LoRaWAN devices thus enabling adoption of more 3rd party solutions to accelerate our service offering while reducing supply chain risks associated with the single source solutions of our current proprietary radio protocol.
