FutEra aims to harness geothermal heat from existing/abandoned oil and gas wells to generate renewable and zero emissions electricity using next generation geothermal technology. Our pilot project spans three phases: (1) assessing reservoir thermal potential, (2) demonstrate the feasibility of IP technology for electricity generation, and (3) drill an optimized well for better IP technology outcomes. We will validate the economics and feasibility of the IP through wellbore analysis and data-driven assessment. Our request is for a new graduate mechanical engineer or engineer-in-training (EIT) to assist in the wellbore analysis, fluid dynamics simulation, and data collection to advance our innovative geothermal technology.

The primary objective of the gas turbine monitoring and carbon credit cross-validation project is to develop and implement accurate GHG gas emission monitoring and prediction models for gas turbines including cross-validating carbon credits and generating profits. Overall, the project aims to contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable world by building the Predictive Emissions Monitoring System (PEMS) that reduces gas emissions, determines and cross-validates carbon credits, and fosters collaboration between VL Energy and the client

A software development project to develop an Anomalies Alerting System and an Usage Analytics Report System for managing cloud environments.

First Step Analytics will prepare PrePad, a unique process simulator for unconventional drilling and completions operators, for commercial deployment with clients in Canada and the US. The staff will develop and validate version 1 of the well catalogue and scenario comparisons. Upon the completion of these modules, PrePad will enable operators to maximize their financial return, optimize their costs and time investment, and minimize their GHG emissions and risks.
