The funding supports projects that enable seniors to age at home under two streams: .• In-Home Support Pilot Projects.• Scaling Up for Seniors. . .In-Home Support Pilot Projects stream.Provides funding to seniors-serving organizations to expand delivery of volunteer-based services to low-income and otherwise vulnerable seniors to help them age at home and provide a service that helps seniors navigate and gain access to services provided by other organizations active in the local area. .Scaling Up for Seniors stream.Provides funding to expand services that have already demonstrated results in helping seniors age at home.

The overarching goal (purpose) is to support enhancements in marine safety and marine environmental protection in Canadian waters, while embracing the concepts of codevelopment and sustainable economic development. The objectives are to enhance the capacity and facilitate the participation of partners and stakeholders in support of marine safety and marine environmental protection.

This project aims to support Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru in their efforts to protect their unique marine biodiversity, coastal communities, and local communities, specifically women, Indigenous Peoples, and Afro-descendants. It does so through innovative Canadian satellite technology to support monitoring and enforcement efforts in reducing the threats posed by illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing activities, such as overfishing.

Davey Textile Solutions aims to improve the heat resistance and shrinkage properties of their current textile products. The focus is on replacing the weft composition while maintaining or enhancing performance. Canadian-based yarns, including fibers such as hemp, Lyocell, wool, and cotton, will be explored as potential alternatives.

Provide an employment opportunity to a recent graduate as a customer support specialist. The graduate with support building relationships with clients, resolving inquiries, and supporting a high-quality customer experience.

The municipality will manage and operate a virtual power plant (VPP) challenge to SMEs that offer a solution that will allow for complete monitoring, feedback, and management of their different electrical grid power supply technologies (wind, solar, battery, etc).

The VPP project aims to revolutionize how the municipality manages and optimizes its energy resources by integrating various distributed energy resources (DERs) such as solar panels, wind turbines, battery storage systems, smart meters and customer demand response mechanisms into a cohesive and highly efficient virtual power system.

Solutions may include simulations that can be run using historical and real-time data on energy production and consumption. Solutions may also include advanced predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms to forecast demand and supply, allowing the VPP to make pre-emptive adjustments to reduce GHGs and improve overall efficiency.

The project will provide valuable work experience for new graduate involving design for additive manufacture with aerospace customers, and internal development programs at Tronos. Work will involve design trade-offs, analysis including stress and build simulations, and optimization of manufacturing processes (additive and 5-axis machining).
