Support for Atlantic Trade Mission to the ALL IN 2025 AI Conference in Montreal (Quebec)

Delegation led by the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to establish relationships with key customers, end-users, investors and other international firms, which will help set the stage for potential Canadian projects in the upcoming International Technology Pilot and Demonstration (ITPD) Program: Cleantech call for proposals.

According to the United Nations, an estimated 16.5 million people need humanitarian assistance in Syria, with over 7 million internally displaced persons.

With GAC’s support, the Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations – International (UOSSM) will aim to increase access to primary healthcare services through mobile clinics and strengthened referral networks, increase screening and treatment of moderate and severe acute malnutrition among children under five, and increase access to mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), including for survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV).

July 2025 – Since the start of 2024, Bangladesh faces a new influx of Rohingya refugees fleeing conflict and persecution in Myanmar. It is estimated that approximately 200,000 new Rohingya refugees arrived in the camps in Cox’s Bazar and are requiring lifesaving humanitarian assistance.

With GAC’s support, UNHCR helps enhance the protection environment for newly arrived Rohingya refugees by delivering safe and dignified reception and registration services, strengthening camp coordination and site management, and expanding multi-sectoral humanitarian assistance. Project activities include: (1) receiving and registering new arrivals; (2) providing protection services; (3) providing shelter, and other essential non-food items; (4) providing adequate water, sanitation and health services, including in reproductive health; (5) providing camp coordination and site management services; (6) providing protection, including against sexual and gender-based violence, child protection and working with governments to register asylum seekers and refugees, and help issue identity documents; and (6) expanding opportunities for durable solutions for people of concern.

It also seeks to understand where Canada could add the most value and what contributions it could make to the security and stability of the North Atlantic.

This project consists of a two-day conference in Ottawa focused on the Arctic. The conference will examine Canada’s global military-civil strategic geoeconomic leadership, vulnerabilities, and resilience by discussing and analyzing Arctic mineral resource contestation, maritime trade, infrastructure vulnerability, and multidomain deterrence and response strategies.
