The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.

The goal of the project is to develop a new type of trap that can be used for shellfish fishing, particularly crab fishing. These new traps could greatly improve certain elements compared to the current form of fishing and also contribute to the cohabitation of fishing and right whales by reducing the risks for them. Also the new style of traps will help to increase the quality of the catches.

This project involves the enhancement of the Firm’s estate management software and includes the development of enhanced permissions and role-based access controls.

Most Caredove users at community health organizations have scheduling tools that they use on a regular basis (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar) or Electronic Medical Record systems that contain such scheduling data. The public is usually disconnected from these systems due to integration complexity, and they are not designed to address the workflow needs of community health care organizations.

This project will give Caredove users at community health organizations the ability to safely and securely share with the public appointment information residing in common and industry specific scheduling applications.

The project builds on the existing AffinitiQuest.io platform to develop an integration with Microsoft's Azure Verifiable Credentials service and to build out the ability to perform analytics on credentials stored in distributed mobile wallets.

Whitfield Welding and it's group of associated companies (Lincoln Laser Solutions and Lincoln Conveyors) have built an ERP system in partnership with Mobistream Solutions (as Canadian owned software developer). The software is nearing completion, however there is around 3-4 months of rollout activities required - this project will help offset these costs.

The primary objective of the proposed project is to research and develop a process to upgrade barite (BaSO4) from API to industrial grades (97%+) and, more importantly, to significantly reduce the lead content
found in the final product. This will be achieved by developing a test procedure to upgrade barite via flotation and then remove lead via leaching. Testing will also provide the opportunity to obtain critical design criteria to ultimately engineer the required commercial scale processing facility. The technology and ability to produce an industrial-grade barite product will provide a significantly more robust market for the final product.

Traffic signals are the major components of cities' traffic systems that require continuous maintenance and adjustment for optimal operation using signal performance measures (SPF). Currently, SPF, such as delay and number of stops, can be obtained from expensive and difficult-to-maintain traffic sensors, including cameras, loop detectors, and radars. This project will develop a cost-effective SPF system using connected cars GPS data, aka probe vehicles, using no physical sensors. Connected cars generate massive car data attributes that share the location, speed, engine status, etc. of vehicles to the car manufacturers and other companies, creating many opportunities for developing services for smart cities such as traffic management.
