Enhancement of Official Languages Program - Promotion of Linguistic Duality

The purpose of this contribution is to provide funding by purchasing and installing an access control system, an intrusion detection system, a CCTV camera system, a public address system, and security-grade window films.

The purpose of this contribution is to provide funding to this local Jewish community organization to enhance their security. The population that uses the facility will feel safer from hate-motivated incidents/crime following the purchase and installation of fencing and gates, an access control system, an intrusion detection system, a CCTV camera system, in addition to electrical rough-ins for card readers and CCTV cameras, and training on how to use the newly installed systems.

To build capacity and expertise to support dialogue and deliberation on federal-Indigenous relationships related to the design and implementation of the marine safety system and environmental protection measures To foster the development of bilateral and multilateral relationships and partnership to support participation in the marine safety regime To implement federal-Indigenous or multilateral plans and agreements to facilitate collaborative management and partnership in marine safety and environmental protection To support the coordination of local and regional engagement to advance discussions on collaboration and partnership in marine safety and environmental protection

The initiative focuses on responding to the urgent health, nutrition, and protection needs of particularly vulnerable groups, including pregnant and lactating women, persons with disabilities, adolescents and young mothers, infants and children under 5, and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). Project activities include: (1) providing primary health services via health facilities and mobile teams, including sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and psycho-social support (PSS); (2) supporting the rehabilitation and maintenance of health facilities providing essential services to crisis-affected populations; (3) distributing dignity, hygiene and essential kits to targeted women and girls; (4) establishing and training of community liaisons and outreach groups on key health, protection, and nutrition issues, including SRH, SGBV, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), and infant and young child feeding (IYCF); (5) conducting regular screening and monitoring for moderate and severe acute malnutrition (MAM and SAM); (6) providing nutrition treatment services and referrals for MAM and SAM cases; (7) establishing maternal, infant and young child nutrition (MIYCN) safe spaces in health facilities; (8) establishing and maintaining women and girls safe spaces, including PSS, case management and referral services for SGBV; (9) and organizing SGBV awareness campaigns with key stakeholders, such as community leaders and relevant security actors.

With GAC’s support, Save the Children Canada aims to reduce suffering, increase and maintain human dignity, and save the live of 153,507 crisis-affected girls, boys, women, and men in Al Ma’afer, Al Mawasit, and Maqbanah Districts, Taiz Governorate in Yemen. Project activities include: (1) providing gender-responsive nutrition services through targeted health facilities treating severe acute malnutrition (SAM) and moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) cases in girls and boys under 5 and Pregnant and Lactating Women and girls; (2) training health workers on optimal gender-responsive Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies practices; (3) establishing and maintaining waste segregation and disposal systems in targeted Health Facilities (HFs); (4) distributing hygiene kits to families of children with SAM and MAM cases in targeted HFs; and (5) providing gender-responsive protection services including referral, case management, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support at community level and at identified Sexual and Gender-based violence shelters.

With GAC’s support, World Vision helps reduce suffering, increase and maintain human dignity, and save lives in the Port-au-Prince Metropolitan Area (Carrefour Feuilles, Croix-des-Bouquets, Delmas, Petion Ville, and Tabarre) and La Gonave (Anse-à-Galet and Pointe-à-Raquette). The project focuses on IDPs and host communities experiencing humanitarian crises, especially women, girls and people with disabilities. Project activities include: (1) distributing multipurpose cash assistance; (2) providing health and nutrition services, including immunizations and treatments for severe and moderate acute malnutrition; (3) raising awareness through campaigns on preventing water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) related diseases; (4) managing cases; and (5) training child protection committees and community leaders to identify and respond to child protection, sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), and sexual exploitation and abuse.
