The purpose of the Oceans Management Contribution funding is to support the development and implementation of oceans conservation and management activities in Canada.

The project aims to support the Government of Ghana in its short-term recovery efforts from the extended drought spell while building capacity for medium to long term resilience efforts against climate shocks. The project supports a widescale assessment of the extended dry spell and its impact on poor and vulnerable households in the Upper East region of Ghana. The project builds local capacity for planning, implementing, monitoring, and assessing the impacts of crisis response initiatives and integrating lessons learned to inform sustainability and future responses to similar crisis. Project support may include experimentation and would contribute to an evidence-based approach on findings related to the extended dry spell, drawing on the insights and experiences of beneficiaries, including farmers, pastoralists, decentralized government agencies, and private sector actors along the agriculture value chain. This project presents an opportunity to gather real-time information on the extended dry spell to rapidly respond to its consequential effects on the livelihoods and productivity of the farmers. The project also supports farmers with capacity building and agricultural inputs to enhance food security and livestock production while building resilience to the effects of climate change.

This project aims to provide funding to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to monitor and verify Iran’s implementation of its nuclear non-proliferation commitments and obligations.

This R&D project will enable Megalab Group Inc. to explore the feasibility of AI-driven tools in sales and marketing processes to enhance lead generation, reduce response times to inquiries, cut operational costs, and improve efficiency. The project will focus on AI’s ability to analyze business data, match it with sales and advertising data, automate content creation, and optimize marketing campaigns.

This project focuses on conducting research to identify and reduce barriers for market expansion of innovative indoor gardening solutions.

The Project will support the development of a project plan and feasibility of leveraging AI and integrating a key heart failure physiologic measure with patient and health system data to identify and risk stratify patients at discharge.

The Mitrex Solar Noise Barrier is an innovative solution that combines the functionality of a highway noise barrier with renewable energy generation, addressing both noise and clean energy needs. This project will develop a full-scale mock-up to demonstrate its feasibility, installation process, and performance, with the aim of establishing partnerships to expand its adoption and create scalable, sustainable infrastructure solutions.

A software project to develop a robust dataset management system for training machine learning and computer vision models, essential for fisheries monitoring.

The cold immersion product market is growing quickly, as is the competitive landscape. Many outdoor wellness events and athlete-related activities are prime marketing opportunities for cold immersion and other wellness products (e.g., consumer sampling, sales engagements, brand exposure). Public events require the use of commercially compliant tubs to ensure the health and safety of each user. Currently, there are no commercially-compliant mobile tubs available on the market. We will be the first in Canada, possibly in North America. This prototype will be used a) to test the market; b) to provide grass roots sales and marketing opportunities for IWBC; and c) provide another revenue stream for the company.
