This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and Action Plan, by engaging with community and conduct internal and external research to inform the creation and adoption of an organization-specific Action Plan through multiple engagement sessions.

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and Action Plan, by undertainge education and training on the United Nations Declaration, the Act, and the Action Plan, including presentations and information sessions. Deliverables will include a final report that will provide tools, recommendations, and solutions.

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and Action Plan, by convening the urban Indigenous sector to focus on United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) activation, with an emphasis on UNDRIP Action Plan measures #84, #90, and #14 through engagement, training improving capacity and alignment of approaches.

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and Action Plan, by hiring a dedicated United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) policy advisor for research and development of Indigenous rights to support strategies and policy implementation advice at the systemic level; analyze emerging issues, trends and provide stewardship on measures it will recommend advancing; build and foster relationships with participating First Nations and other Indigenous Peoples; and advise and support Alderville First Nation in being informed on emerging concepts while communicating own aspirations.

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and Action Plan, by addressing the Nation’s specific experience through the forced population transfer away from the ancestral homeland (United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) Article 8.2c and 28) through community meetings and workshops which will result in a formal report.

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and Action Plan, through community engagement and operationalization of previous recommendations into measurable actions and outcomes with appropriate monitoring metrics to create a pathway (i.e., amendments or new laws or policies) to needed changes in policy and law as well as “produce an action plan and reporting framework (e.g. annual report card).

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and Action Plan, by holding a data management community workshop to create an adaptive data management plan with informed community consent. The results will include the drafting of a data management plan and the hosting of a final community open house to present final draft for feedback/formal adoption.

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and Action Plan, by educating membership on the Action Plan and the protections and benefits indigenous people’s should experience through a series of engagement sessions. A report on recommendations will be submitted to the Department of Justice.

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and Action Plan, by soliciting input from First Nation Leadership in Manitoba through various fora on the desired outcomes regarding Section 5 of the UNDA plan. Focus on Shared Priorities 1 and Shared Priorities 2, consistency of laws as well as discussions on the potential development of a First Nation law reform body.

This project aims to contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDA) and Action Plan, by developing a unique public health governance model that would be based upon First Nations sovereignty and recognition, and respect for First Nations laws, protocols, and decision-making concerning the health and wellbeing of their citizens through engagement and community awareness building, in the service of policy development on health services governance.
