Develop digital adoption plan

Grant as part of the Participant Funding Program to Doig River First Nation to assist in preparing for and engaging in Indigenous consultation activities and public participation opportunities associated with the assessment process for the Rocky Creek Metallurgical Coal Project.

The Project will support development of intellectual property capacity within the Firm.

Participation in the Canadian circular battery technologies mission to South Korea – January 13 to 17, 2025. Delegation led by the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to establish relationships with key customers, end-users, investors and other international firms, which will help set the stage for potential Canadian projects in the upcoming International Technology Pilot and Demonstration (ITPD) Program: Cleantech call for proposals.

This grant supports Queen’s University Biology Department (Lougheed Lab) in furthering eDNA monitoring on reptiles and amphibians in and around Thousand Islands National Park. This grant will support student projects by covering costs related to eDNA analysis, primer development, travel, and other project elements.

This grant supports the Aquatarium in continuing and expanding existing reptile education and recovery measures. This grant will assist in continued turtle egg incubation, development of expanded Turtle and Gray Ratsnake exhibits, publication of reptile educational materials, and support for related events and camps.

This grant supports Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre to rehabilitate turtles and snakes that are injured to regain the strength and condition they need in order to be released back into the wild. The grant supports operations and equipment needed to rehabilitate turtles including through egg incubation.

This grant supports the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA) Environment Program in protecting and monitoring turtles and other herptiles in Akwesasne through turtle incubation, nest protection and other mitigation efforts. It will also assist MCA to develop and acquire educational and outreach materials and to continue to grow community engagement through workshops, events, and training opportunities.

This grant supports Leeds-Grenville Stewardship Council initiatives to help protect and recover reptiles and amphibians, and educate the public and local landowners through snake nesting boxes and programs to raise public awareness about the importance of protecting habitats for species at risk.
