The youth hire will be part of the development team working on the TACTIQL FULCRUM software. The Employee will have primary day-to-day responsibility for software QA, development, and client-facing deployments, work closely with experienced engineers, contribute to meaningful projects from day one, and grow into a broader development role over time.

The project focuses on precision soldering, PCB assembly, and development of the Coyote hardware platform. Work includes system setup, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs in accordance with approved schematics, as well as inspection and adjustment of equipment to support development and validation.

Over the past 2 years, Questron has performed extensive upgrades/developments of three large software apps that serve as the user interfaces with the instruments. In order to enter the commercialization phase, these software products require watchful use, testing, and validation on the Android and PC computer platforms. The youth candidate will start by learning the product applications and then use his/her specialized skills and knowledge of JAVA language based object-oriented platform to debug and describe the coded functions. Having performed these preliminary but essential tasks, the candidate will utilize the refined software applications to interface with actual hardware electronics for function verification and robust function

Shift AI is developing a Hardware-Aware Abstraction Layer for Mixed-Drone Fleets: an intelligent fleet management platform that automatically assigns tasks to human-operated drones across multiple manufacturers based on real-time hardware performance data, including battery health, sensor capabilities, and environmental conditions. The solution addresses a critical gap in current drone technology by enabling efficient, optimized management of mixed-fleet drone operations for both commercial and defense applications.

The Adaptive Feeder Project will develop a modular parts-feeding platform that improves flexibility, reliability, and productivity in precision manufacturing, helping Canadian manufacturers—particularly SMEs—reduce downtime and respond more quickly to changing production needs.

The CFX project will develop and validate a prototype continuous flow system using electrokinetic separation to remove ultra fine low gravity solids from active drilling fluids where traditional solids control is ineffective.

This project aims to develop and implement a comprehensive ISO 13485-compliant quality management system for the firm.

Cripps & Sons Woodworking Inc. is developing an advanced digital manufacturing and production tracking system for custom cabinet manufacturing. The project includes the integration of real-time workstation tracking, automated labeling, production scheduling, overhead part sorting, edgebander integration, and computer vision-based quality control technologies. The system will improve production visibility, automate material handling processes, reduce manufacturing errors, and enhance product quality. The project aims to increase manufacturing efficiency and support the company’s continued growth in high-end custom cabinetry production.

NutraMate is advancing its AI‑driven prescription automation platform toward commercial deployment through live pharmacy use, product refinement, and workflow development. The project also supports onboarding processes and early engagement with Canadian pharmacy customers.

The youth will work as part of the firm's software development team, building new features, improving system performance, and enhancing integrations with learning management systems to support scalable use by educational institutions.
