The firm is launching a strategic project to implement, improve, and optimize processes at its new plant, with the clear goal of becoming the leader in modular construction in Eastern Canada.

Ekstera has developed and patented a Stirling engine capable of converting a wide range of heat sources into electricity at high efficiency. This project supports the development and testing of a pilot scale prototype Stirling engine unit that will ultimately lead to a pilot project with a partnering steel mill to convert their abundant waste heat into electricity.

OceanSync is developing a parametric roll alert system as part of its commercialization strategy. Zeel will support this by developing a react based front end interface, including live vessel data integration, user driven condition inputs, and polar risk plotting. The internship builds on Zeel's software background and contributes to OceanSync’s technical growth and product readiness.

This International Co-Innovation Action Program (ICAP) project will prepare the firm to enter into future international co-innovation work.

The Project will support the development of an innovation plan to explore integrating AI into the Firm’s core business.

This role involves managing the build schedule and daily assembly operations of a prototype fuel cell truck, while ensuring quality standards are met and maintaining thorough documentation of processes and improvements. The position also serves as a key technical liaison across engineering, suppliers, and technicians, contributing to mechanical design in CAD, resolving real-time build issues, and supporting the transition from prototyping to low-volume manufacturing.

This project supports developing and implementing a Community Electronic Record and Hospital Information System (HIS) to improve data integration and care coordination across primary, acute, and community settings. With NRC IRAP support, the initiative will proceed more quickly, enabling deeper technical testing, broader stakeholder engagement, and the involvement of highly qualified talent. The project will enhance FSET’s innovation capacity in digital health, contribute to commercial growth, and support job creation and technology advancement in Canada’s healthcare sector.

Development of a proof of concept of SRv6 Proxy software, deployment on Smart Switch hardware, evaluation of real-world performance, and assessment of commercial potential.

The project aims to optimize the purity and capture rates of recyclable materials at sorting centres.

As part of the Japan Corporate Co-Innovation Program, the project “Robotic Arm Sensor's Wireless Power & Data Transfer” will focus on developing a wireless data transfer system that can be embedded in a wireless power transfer solution, especially for robotic arm tool heads.
