This project will leverage the Canadian Red Cross's existing capacity and provide support and service delivery gaps for the immediate and long-term to those affected by the Nova Scotia 2023 wildfires.

The purpose of this project is to enhance interoperability between Search and Rescue organizations at the federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal levels through hosting the national SARScene Conference in the Fall of 2025. This conference will be national in scope, and will include ground, marine, and air search and rescue; it will have Indigenous participation and presence; and it will provide national educational programming and conversations to all Search and Rescue stakeholders. 

Through this 30-month project, Techsploration will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address its ability to deliver and support long-term sustainable programming in Nova Scotia and expansion areas related to women employed in science, engineering, trades, and technology (SETT), leading to greater organizational capacity. The project will include an environmental scan, the development of a 5-year strategic plan and a comprehensive internal governance audit to ensure sound operations and enable long-term sustainability and growth.

With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Techsploration will advance governance modernization through filing bylaw changes and approving and implementing core policy manuals as part of the organization’s new strategic plan developed during the first phase of the project. They will also modernize digital organizational systems by building automated databases and implementing digital filing, security, project, and grant management tools.

Through this 24-month project, Supporting Survivors of Abuse and Brain Injury through Research (SOAR) will build its capacity to advance gender equality for women survivors of gender-based violence and brain injury in Canada.

Through this 18-month systemic change project, PRUDE Inc. will scale the All Women project to advance women’s economic security and representation in leadership roles.

Through this 23-month project, the Ending Sexual Violence Association of Canada (ESVA Canada) will create and pilot a workforce strategy to improve economic security for low-income women, senior women, and women with disabilities engaged in community-based anti-violence work. Project activities include building a sectoral profile of the workforce with a focus on economic barriers affecting low-income, senior, and disabled workers; leveraging the existing national Gender-Based Violence Worker Wellness Network and formalizing new relationships with other relevant experts; and utilizing an established framework (Roadmap to a Strong Community-Based Anti-Violence Workforce) to guide strategy development. A pan-Canadian communications campaign about the strategy will inform and engage community-based anti-violence leaders. This project aims to establish new sector standards, influence societal and policy changes, and create customized programs and resources to enhance economic security.

This project aims to purchase a tractor, a trailer to transport compost, a seed drill, mechanical weeding tools, and additional equipment for a rotary tiller.

The purpose of the Indigenous Habitat Participation Program- Grant Funding is to meet the legal obligations to support the participation of Indigenous communities in consultations on Departmental Crown conduct (i.e., decisions, such as arrangements, approvals, authorizations and permits) under the Fisheries Act and/or Species at Risk Act.
