Through this 33-month project, Chinook Sexual Assault Centre will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the organization’s long-term funding and external communications needs. The project will include hiring staff to review the organization’s existing resources; creating and implementing both sustainable fund and external communications development plans; and stakeholder and partner outreach within Southern Alberta communities to gain insights into the capacity building process.

This 24-month project will address Pathways to Leadership’s (PTL) capacity to advance gender equality by the continued development and promotion of the PTL program. The organization will develop an outreach strategy to increase awareness of this innovative model with community-based non-profit organizations in the lower mainland and beyond. This project will build capacity and create a well-resourced and sustainable organization that supports racialized immigrant and refugee women in their social, economic, cultural, political and civic integration into Canadian society.

Through this 31-month systemic change project, METRAC will help advance women’s economic security through systemic change. Specifically, the project will address systemic barriers to the employment success of Black women by exploring the intersectional impacts of race and gender, and while examining the association with gender-based violence.

The purpose of the Indigenous Habitat Participation Program and the Salish Sea Initiative, is to support the participation of Indigenous peoples in activities relating to the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat, including the development of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans’ (DFO) policies, program elements and regulations and the development of their technical capacity to support greater involvement in the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat.

The purpose of the Pacific Salmon Conservation and Stewardship Partnerships Program is to support the participation and activities of external Indigenous and Non-Indigenous groups providing advice to the Department on the conservation and stewardship of Pacific salmon.

Funding will support concept development to identify solutions to National Defence’s Challenge: Counter Uncrewed Aerial Systems (CUAS) Concept Development 2024. Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) and its defence and security partners are seeking CUAS solutions that can detect and/or defeat Micro and Mini UAS with systems that can be integrated into the broader military command and control systems.
