Emergent Solutions Inc. (ESI) will complete the Operations, Administration, and Management (OAM) software for its first next-generation SKU, the EBR100 rugged edge communications platform, supporting dual-use defence and critical infrastructure applications. The project advances the system from TRL 6 to a production-ready release (v1.0.0) by integrating secure device and fleet management, radio and network control, firmware lifecycle management, edge compute orchestration, and hardened cybersecurity. The software will be developed under ESI’s cross-platform strategy and will form the foundational layer for the next-generation EGU platform, enabling substantial reuse of validated modules and accelerating commercialization of future systems.

This project will demonstrate the suitability of industrial byproducts for ocean alkalinity enhancement (OAE) through staged lab-to-pilot experiments that define process design, economics, and key risks. The firm will research and evaluate these diverse feedstocks to determine viability for use in OAE.

The primary objective of this project is to commercially validate a calcium-based ocean alkalinity enhancement (OAE) dosing system that achieves a minimum 60% reduction in operating cost per tonne of CO2 removed, while delivering 12,000 tonnes of verified carbon within the 2026 calendar year.

Successful completion will demonstrate that calcium-based feedstocks can replace imported magnesium materials while maintaining reliable, creditable, and community-supported operations which are requirements for future commercial scale deployment.

OzoneBio is developing the world’s first zero-emission bio-Nylon66 by upcycling wood waste. This project will scale up our proprietary green chemistry process to provide sustainable, high-performance polymers for the automotive and textile industries, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional petrochemical methods.

Millard Towers (MTL) current tower design has limitations in height as it isn't scalable. MTL has a need for a taller, modular design that can support more equipment and lower via an accessible hinge.

The Firm has developed ΔC, a biochar-based carbon-negative concrete admixture made from sustainably sourced wood residues that reduces cement use and permanently stores biogenic carbon, lowering concrete’s carbon footprint by 20–30% without changing plant operations.

This project advances ΔC development and manufacturing from pilot validation to commercial readiness by: 1) optimizing production, 2) completing engineering and techno-economic analysis, 3) validating industrial performance, and 4) preparing inputs for Final Investment Decision (FID).
