The objectives of the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy Program (YESSP) are to help all youth navigate through the labour market and to successfully transition into sustained employment. These objectives are attained by supporting the needs of all youth, especially youth facing barriers to develop skills, knowledge and networks through education, skills development and meaningful work experiences.

Using computer vision, machine learning, and IoT sensors, the project will enable real-time defect detection, predictive shelf-life modeling, and automated processing optimization.

An AI-driven platform that provides instantaneous stormwater design specification options to accelerate developers, engineers, and city planners through system design, cost comparisons, and compliance requirements. The tool uses an AI powered interface, trained by PurePave's Engineering team to simplify project planning and permit applications while offering design / cost comparisons between traditional systems and PurePave's sustainable stormwater solutions. By addressing knowledge gaps and delivering precise and instant project designs, the platform not only expedites project timelines for users but also generates quality leads for service providers, ultimately driving the adoption of cost-saving, flood-mitigating PurePave solutions.

This qualification and planning project will identify and document potential AI use cases within our sales and onboarding operations. We will analyze existing AI technologies to determine whether building an in-house solution or partnering with a vendor is more appropriate. The final outcome will be a detailed plan for a future pilot, which will not be executed during this project but may be pursued upon completion of the qualification and planning phase.

This project builds on the insights gained from the successful Cold Garden Brewery pilot, which demonstrated the operational efficiency and environmental and financial benefits of CO2Brew’s technology. The lessons learned during the pilot phase will directly inform the design and engineering of the first-generation CO2Brew unit, which will be implemented at Tool Shed Brewery, Calgary.

The development of the Empowering Métis Women in Leadership Curriculum and resources, will address topics through an approach centered on the Métis Holistic Lifelong Learning Model that can begin the process of decolonizing leadership by exploring strengths and weaknesses, including how colonial education systems continue to influence individuals, families, and communities inside and outside of school or formalized learning environments.

Acquisition of digital equipment and expansion: The project aims to increase production capacity and improve productivity at a company specializing in the machining and manufacture of custom metal parts.

Expansion of Lincoln Alexander Law's intellectual property legal offerings by enhancing the Zone Learning x Lincoln Alexander Law IP-Specific Micro-General Counsel Service

Scale up Western Intellectual Property and Innovation Legal Clinic's capacity and enhance the clinic's outreach activities

This work will employ a combination of remote sensing data analysis, sample analysis, and simulations of impact crater formation to improve our understanding of the geological context and history of the first Canadian rover landing site region and broader south polar area of the Moon. In addition, analogue field activities and the analysis of samples (Apollo samples, lunar meteorites, regolith simulants) using the first Canadian rover instruments and traditional lab facilities will also better prepare the team for the first Canadian rover operations.
