Develop digital adoption plan

Contribution as part of the Policy Dialogue Program to West Coast Environmental Law Research Foundation to assist in preparing for and engaging in participation activities associated with the ongoing Review of Legislative, Regulatory, and Policy Development Processes.

The project aims to establish model communities of care, incorporating innovative interventions at the community and health system levels. These community and women-centered health service sites will serve as exemplars, showcasing improved outcomes. The primary focus is on young women in 30 partner communities across six districts in Inhambane, Mozambique, treating them as the primary beneficiaries and involving all community members ethically and strategically. It will engage both female and male young people in health committees and income-generating initiatives, drawing on over two decades of collaborative work the province, including partnerships with DPSI (the Inhambane Provincial Directorate of Health).

Project activities include: (1) promoting gender balance and empowerment through various initiatives such as workshops, youth committees, reproductive health education, women-led economic projects, improved sanitation, community caregivers, and better transportation for pregnancy care; (2) improving data-related skills and knowledge among health professionals, integrating the use of data into local decision-making, introducing near-mortality concepts into provincial death assessments, and disseminating research findings to strengthen the quality of SRHR services, with an emphasis on gender equity; and (3) enhancing the data-related knowledge and skills of healthcare workers, the use of data in local decision-making, integrating near-miss concepts into provincial death audits, and sharing research findings to improve gender-responsive SRHR care services.

May 2024 - Bangladesh continues to experience widespread flooding in the North East and Jamuna basin, in addition to continuing to respond to the impacts of the Cyclone Remal which hit the country on May 26, 2024. An estimated 8.3 million people are affected by Cyclone Remal and the North-Eastern floods, with an additional 5 million predicted to be affected by floods in the Jamuna basin.?

With GAC’s support, the WFP will provide lifesaving assistance to crisis-affected people in Bangladesh. Project activities include: (1) distribution of immediate food assistance; and (2) provision of emergency cash assistance.

The purpose of this funding is to assist Black River First Nation and Hollow Water First Nation in participating in a hearing to consider an application from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Ltd. (CNL) to renew decommissioning licence for Whiteshell Laboratories.

Éducation pour tous 3.0: Improving access to education for students who are visually impaired or blind in the governorates of Ben Arous, Sousse, Sfax and Gabès by creating Braille library holdings in inclusive educational hubs.

Grengine's project aims to streamline the commercialization of microgrid solutions by developing microgrid designs that meet or exceed regulatory requirements of various Canadian electrical jurisdictions and compliance with Canadian electrical codes and standards. The project includes in-depth research on standards and grid codes covering Distributed Energy Resources, provincial grid codes, Alberta Electric System Operator requirements as well as microgrid size restrictions, and application processes. It also involves researching and identifying third-party components compatible with Grengine battery packs, as well as reviewing utilities and carriers across Alberta, their processes and required documentation.
