Revitalize the mountain biking trail network in Squamish

This project will pilot and evaluate new land-based components for Tahltan members and clients of the Ku'We'Ghan Program. Given the remoteness of the community, implementing new approaches on the land are imperative to healing and prevention.

This project will assess the quality of family court forms prepared by self-represented litigants with and without the support of Community Legal Education Ontario's family law Guided Pathways to determine their overall impact on access to justice.

Provide financial assistance to an individual Canadian victim of a specified serious violent crime in a foreign jurisdiction for emergency situations of undue hardship where no other source of financial assistance is available (specified categories of crimes are homicide, sexual assault, aggravated assault or assault with serious personal violence, or threat of serious violence, including against a child) or to an individual support person to accompany, attend with or support a Canadian victimized in a foreign jurisdiction. A total of 17 individuals were approved to receive financial assistance in this regard.

Provide financial assistance to an individual victim or support person (as defined in the Corrections and Conditional Release Act and who are registered with Correctional Service Canada or the Parole Board of Canada), to attend Parole Board of Canada hearings in respect of the offender who harmed them.

The objectives of the Yukon NEIHR Centre Development Grant are to:

• Enable First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis communities to determine readiness, priority areas of interest and capacity within relevant communities to create an Indigenous health research network based in the Yukon;
• Assess the viability of a research network and a partnership of creating a capacity building network among First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis communities and potential team members including researchers, knowledge-users and/or partners;
• Identify the research aim, objectives and/or questions or emerging issues and priorities that could form the basis of a Yukon NEIHR Centre operating grant application;
• Enable Indigenous Peoples and other members of the research team to engage in development efforts to successfully compete for a Yukon NEIHR Centre operating grant.
