Provide financial assistance to an individual Canadian victim of a specified serious violent crime in a foreign jurisdiction for emergency situations of undue hardship where no other source of financial assistance is available (specified categories of crimes are homicide, sexual assault, aggravated assault or assault with serious personal violence, or threat of serious violence, including against a child) or to an individual support person to accompany, attend with or support a Canadian victimized in a foreign jurisdiction. A total of 17 individuals were approved to receive financial assistance in this regard.

Provide financial assistance to an individual victim or support person (as defined in the Corrections and Conditional Release Act and who are registered with Correctional Service Canada or the Parole Board of Canada), to attend Parole Board of Canada hearings in respect of the offender who harmed them.

Bubble Technology Industries (BTI) proposes to continue the evolution of its radiation detection systems, building upon its successful FlexSpec product line and extending the underlying technologies to other applications in the defence and security sectors. These enhancements will improve BTI’s competitive position and result in increased market share in Canada, the US, and in overseas export markets.

INT Program: Technology Pilot and Demonstration Program — Cleantech

As part of the international cleantech project “Battery Operated Welding Cart,” this project will focus on the redesign and deployment of an existing proof of concept prototype for in-field pilot and demonstration testing with a major international distribution partner servicing the welder sales and rental industry. The pilot units will be provided with new features that would increase its performance, market applicability, product life-cycle, and cost.

The main objective of this Project is to conduct a computational study of
novel battery materials using computer models, simulations, and machine
learning. The Recipient will perform density functional theory (DFT)
simulations and machine learning to design and create proof-of-concept
battery materials, including cathode and electrolyte materials.

The firm wishes to develop, implement and optimize a digital/growth marketing strategy to benefit the firm with its sales revenues, increase product awareness and reduce sales and marketing costs.

This project is for demonstrating the high energy content of food particles from used cooking oil and food waste from grease traps to produce biomethane through anaerobic digestion. By using a small-scale digester, the result of the project will validate the technological and economic potential of grease trap waste and residues from used cooking oil as feedstocks for producing biomethane. Additionally, the benefits of the project will include waste reduction by utilizing food particles and grease trap waste, greenhouse gas mitigation by capturing methane that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere from decomposing organic waste, among others.
