With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the UACWA will activate and embed a new governance framework and policies across all programs and deliver new targeted board leadership training on governance and policy activation and best practices. They will also strengthen capacity by building, expanding, and sustaining strategic and collaborative partnerships to reduce service gaps and duplication, and ensure that UACWA’s programs and services remain responsive to the evolving needs of the community.

Through this 30-month systemic change project, Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF) will help advance women’s economic security and prosperity. Specifically, the project will address systemic barriers within the care economy in order to properly value care work, beginning with the creation of an advisory committee and engagement of key stakeholders. LEAF will conduct a literature review and an environmental scan, culminating in a report, and will develop public legal education materials addressing key issues that have been identified. The organization will develop and conduct workshops that respond to and challenge the barriers to valuing care work, that provide care workers with legal information in relation to their workplace rights or rights as caregivers, and that touch on avenues for law reform. The developed public legal education materials and workshop will also be distributed and delivered to LEAF’s network of branches, and professional facilitators will train LEAF’s branches as well as community organizations to deliver them to others. In collaboration with stakeholders and the project advisory committee, LEAF will develop law reform advocacy proposals related to the barriers within the care economy identified in the earlier stages of this project. These will be compiled in a formal report and distributed to the organization’s broader network and branches, as the Advocacy Manager is trained in how to build an effective advocacy campaign and begins mobilization. LEAF, in coalition with stakeholders and a network of care economy organizations, will engage in advocacy based on the proposals compiled into the formal report and will set advocacy goals. LEAF will develop an informal coalition to continue advocacy beyond project conclusion. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of the systemic change project.

Girls Incorporated of Durham will do this by forming the project team; conducting background research and community consultations and incorporating findings; approving and implementing the project plan (including facilitating policy changes); delivering leadership and community action programs (internship); evaluating the pilot and celebrating the participant’s experiences.

Through this 24-month project, YWCA Canada will build its capacity to advance gender equality.

It will address the need to provide integrated Gender Base Analysis Plus (GBA+) programming and services to their clients. The project will include: the development of new policies/procedures, created with the union, to develop staff leadership in GBA+. It will undertake an organizational assessment of programs, services and deliverables looking at both GBA+ and Indigenous best practices in GBA+ and will make the recommended changes to internal policies, procedures, tools, and resources.

Through this 30-month project, Trans Support NL will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities, specifically those who are Two-spirit, Transgender, Non-Binary, and Gender Diverse (2STNBGD). This will be achieved by assembling an advisory committee, conducting a data review, and consulting with key stakeholders to develop "Gender Affirming Healthcare Spaces" toolkits for health care providers. The project will also develop and deliver training workshops to support the implementation of the toolkit in clinical settings to provide more affirming healthcare spaces for 2STNBGD patients.

Through this 30-month project, Salal Sexual Violence Support Centre Society will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the continued stigmatization of sexual violence (SV) and gaps in SV advocacy. The project will include the development and integration of a storytelling toolkit in the organization’s communications materials to support the facilitation of discussions about sexualized violence and the updating of HR processes and systems to support organizational growth and sustainability.

With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Salal Sexual Violence Support Centre will develop financial sustainability and revenue diversification infrastructure, develop formal leadership succession framework and will modernize organizational policies to respond to rapidly evolving technologies. Through this, they will further advance Gender Equality.

Through this 30-month project, Ornaments of Grace and Virtue International Organization will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address gaps and needs in areas including policy, stakeholder engagement, environmental scanning, mission and vision alignment, data collection and analysis, donor engagement; diversity and inclusion; and gender-sensitive communication. This will help the organization overcome barriers such as resistance to change, lack of knowledge and expertise, and communication challenges. The project will include a needs assessment; training workshops on capacity building subjects; stakeholder consultations and engagement; updating governance policies, procedures, and plans; and monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the project activities.

With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Ornaments of Grace and Virtue International will A) Strengthen Capacity Through System Implementation and Training; B) Update and Implement Financial and Donor Stewardship Policies; and C) Strengthen Monitoring, Evaluation, and Organizational Sustainability. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.

Through this 30-month project, Alter Acadie NB will address 2SLGBTQI+ communities’ needs and barriers to equality. To achieve this, the organization will work with healthcare providers to improve access to services, work closely with various stakeholders in the Francophone education sector to address inequalities facing transgender and non-binary people, and support the arts and culture industry in creating safe and welcoming spaces for the Francophone 2SLGBTQI+ community.

Through this 30-month project, Sher Vancouver LGBTQ Friends Society will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities in Metro Vancouver. This will be achieved by developing a comprehensive guide to assist individuals in navigating systems, such as health care, education, and employment, as well as conducting and evaluating workshops on the effective use of the guide.
