Build on the momentum from Polar funded WWF project Future-Proofing Community Access to Country Foods (ending August 20-24), provide land-based or on-the-job training and capacity building of the recently established Kurairojuark Hunters and Trappers Association’s (KHTA) Guardians program to establish a year-round environmental monitoring program.

Build youth capacity and skills by developing a combined on-the-land (OTL) and Western learning model. Objectives are to: 1) enhance youths' future career opportunities; 2) deepen youth's relationships with the land; and 3) mobilize youths' new knowledge to become leaders in their own communities.

This contribution supports the production of an educational series, which features conservation work taking place in protected areas and Parks Canada administered locations. Season two will continue to focus on the importance of science and conservation in the face of a changing climate, and the key elements of a resilient ecosystem.

The contribution supports coordination, information sharing, and development of common strategic goals and objectives between land management agencies within the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem, focusing on shared conservation priorities and landscape conservation design.

To support the conservation of the south stone wall of the eastern transept and windows.

To support repairs to the stone foundation of the house and mitigation of storm water run-off with a comprehensive site drainage plan.

Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities.

Through this 32-month project, Tahiuqtiit Womans Society will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the organization’s need to strengthen its infrastructure and outreach capacity to fulfill their mandate to support the equality of Inuit∕Inuvialuit women in the Nunakput region, which is comprised of four communities, Paulatuk, Sachs Harbour, Tuktoyaktuk and Ulukhaktok. The project will include governance training for the Board of Directors, development of evaluation tools, diversification of revenue strategies, improving social media presence, and strategic planning. This project will ensure Inuit∕Inuvialuit women in the Nunakput region move toward greater political, social, and economic equality.

Through this 32-month project, Care Masters Women and Family Services will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the need to strategically and sustainably fulfill the organizational mission to address critical needs within the African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) community in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Peel Region. The project will include 1) creating a 5-year strategic and sustainability plan; 2) enhancing financial management practices; 3) creating organizational structures to increase financial stability and sustainability; 4) building organizational capacity and related in-house resources through professional development and trainings to focus on staff and volunteer well-being, development and retention; and 5) conducting community engagement and research sessions with ACB women to prepare for program enhancement and establishing a network of Black and women-led and serving organizations.
