Through this 32-month project, Informed Perspectives aims to expand their Amplifying Women’s Voices in Media and Creating Parity in Politics initiative. The project will increase the representation of women and gender-diverse individuals in media and political leadership roles.

Through this 32-month project, Femmes en Emploi will build its capacity to advance women’s equality, particularly for immigrant and racialized women in Laval. It will address human resources management, governance, and strategic planning. The project will include reviewing and improving human resources management practices and methods, strengthening governance, performing an in-depth diagnosis of the current structure and internal processes, and creating a three-year strategic plan.

Through this 32-month project Haven Society will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the organization’s need for a strategic plan and roadmap informed by stakeholder consultation. The project will include research to assess current conditions and needs within the organization, community and sector, and strategic planning and roadmap development. The project will also include evaluation of the strategic plan and communication of the plan to stakeholders.

Through this 32-month project, We Worthy Women will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the lack of current core funding, work to build more effective organizational structure and governance, and solidify processes and partnerships to sustain long-term social impact in the community. The project will include developing a corporate sponsorship strategy, increasing proposal writing capacity, improving board governance, and developing bylaws and policies. It will also grow partnerships, improve processes for project and people management, and create a strategic plan and an evaluation framework to measure impact.

Lasers are frequently used to measure displacement. We have developed a novel frequency-modulated laser interferometer (SFM) capable of measuring up to 8 independent axes using a single laser/detector. The performance has been validated at cryogenic temperatures (4 K) and the concept adopted for the PRIMA mission concept under review by NASA. The accuracy of the SFM technique depends on knowledge of the central frequency of the laser about which it is modulated. The modulation frequency range required for our method is 100× greater than existing calibration methods, requiring a fundamentally new approach. The objectives are to implement a novel calibration strategy for the SFM technique and verify it against two lasers (HeNe, the gold standard, and a locked DFB) at levels of <1 ppm. Benefits to Canadians would be to leverage this work to secure a role in the NASA PRIMA mission. We have already received expressions of interest from the Composites Research Network which includes Tier 1 partner Boeing.

Canadian company Nüvü Cameras manufactures the world's most sensitive imaging solutions with its photon-counting controllers. Through this project, Nüvü Caméras will develop a spatial camera solution integrating its new CMOS controller for photon counting.

This project aims to create a highly valuable and useful set of models that will serve as the engine behind many new features that allow VidCruiter to bring a truly innovative approach to introducing A.I. into its platform.
