Through this 33-month systemic change project “Open Hearth: Transformative Mentorship and Culture Change Advancing Nonprofit Equity”, Capacity Canada will help advance underrepresented women’s representation in leadership and decisionmaking roles in the nonprofit sector through systemic change. Specifically, the project will address systemic barriers with the aim of transforming nonprofit organizational culture and practices through community engagement, creating a Women’s Nonprofit Mentorship Network (NFP) and piloting and implementing an Equity Diversity Inclusion Accessibility (EDIA) culture change program. The Women’s NFP Network aims to create an inclusive, safe, interactive, and collaborative mentorship experience and the EDIA Culture Change program aims to spark nonprofit culture change for supporting women in leadership. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of the systemic change project.

Through this 33-month systemic change project, ReelWorld Screen Institute will help advance the representation of women in leadership and decision-making roles within the Canadian screen industry through systemic change.

Specifically, the project will address systemic barriers and the underrepresentation of Black, Indigenous, and Women of Colour, in leadership and decisions-making roles within the Canadian screen industry.

Through this 21-month project, Gay Ottawa Volleyball will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address Gay Ottawa Volleyball’s capacity to strategically expand and develop as an organization to provide opportunities of safe and inclusive sport for the 2SLGBTQAI+ community. The project will include a strategic review of existing GOV programming and structures, the identification of future needs in the medium term, and the development of a strategic and a fundraising plan to sustain operations and expansions over the next five years.

With this 33-month national project, the Joy Smith Foundation will engage survivors, women’s organizations, government, and the broader community to address systemic barriers faced by survivors of human trafficking and gender-based violence entering the workplace. Through comprehensive research, and the development and implementation of policies, tools, and awareness training for employers, as well as a mentorship program, the project will contribute to build survivor-friendly workplaces, advancing women’s economic security and prosperity. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of the systemic change project.

Through this 33-month systemic change project, Sistering A Woman’s Place will help advance women’s economic security and prosperity through systemic change.

Contribution as part of the Participant Funding Program to Greg McIvor, on behalf of Wabowden Registered Trapline #18 to assist in preparing for and engaging in Indigenous consultation activities and public participation opportunities associated with the assessment process for the Lake Manitoba and Lake St. Martin Outlet Channels Project.

Funding will support research and development to identify solutions to National Defence’s Challenge: Lighting the path with AI: Advanced analytics and decision support for first responders. Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) in collaboration with Canada’s safety & security communities are seeking to advance the application of promising advanced decision support technologies including, but not limited to, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), intelligent sensors, wearable technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity technologies (e.g. 5G, Long Range (LoRa)), and synthetic environments technologies (e.g. Virtual Reality (VR), Augment Reality (AR), Extended Reality (XR), Mixed Reality (MR)) in the safety and security domain.

The purpose of the Indigenous Habitat Participation Program- Grant Funding is to meet the legal obligations to support the participation of Indigenous communities in consultations on Departmental Crown conduct (i.e., decisions, such as arrangements, approvals, authorizations and permits) under the Fisheries Act and/or Species at Risk Act.
