Giatec is developing technology to generate operational and environmental improvements in the construction industry. This project focuses on developing a solution to further improve the quality of concrete and reduce its environmental impact. Additionally, the system will generate Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) on an ongoing basis, ensuring accurate, up-to-date environmental impact data. This innovation aims to improve efficiency, sustainability, and transparency in the concrete industry while supporting regulatory compliance and decision making.

This 2nd round of the Invention to Innovation (i2I) for SMEs CtO will continue to develop the innovation skills and entrepreneurial mindset of pivotal researchers/scientists/engineers within select BC SMEs, with a focus on the life sciences, cleantech and deep tech industry sectors. This CtO will educate and mentor the respective technical employee in developing a commercialization strategy for new product development within their organization. Customized mentoring will be provided by SFU Innovates in both sector specific learning groups and in one-on-one sessions with Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIRs) serving as mentors.

This project aims to enhance map accuracy and data richness by incorporating detailed street-level data, unlocking new commercial opportunities in asset management, civil engineering and government sectors.

The objective of this project is to bring Mysa’s existing hardware line-up to a commercial grade energy management platform that services small and medium sized enterprises (SMBs). This market is currently underserved by existing solutions, which are often complex and focused around a single low voltage HVAC configuration.
