ROCarbon offers plug and play carbon marketplaces backed by our proprietary digitized measurement, reporting, and verification tool to ensure project claims are accurate. We are building this platform to stamp out the faulty, estimated data that makes up ~90% of carbon market claims. The Beta we build with this funding will enable a client to whitelabel a carbon marketplace where they can invite their supply chain partners onto to upload the sustainability projects they would like funded. For the whitelabeling company, they get a tool to see where their biggest decarbonization opportunities lie in their supply chain, that enables them control over their supplier emissions, and the ability to make claims about meeting their climate targets.

To develop the cutting strategy, prototype and test the cutting head, and preliminary design of processing and packaging equipment.

SeeO2 Energy Inc., a Calgary-based company, pioneering solutions to transform greenhouse gases into valuable clean fuels and chemicals. Our technology leverages reversible solid oxide fuel cell (RSOFC) technology to perform efficient high temperature electrolysis. An RSOFC consists of an electrolyte sandwiched between electrodes which are then coupled to an interconnect using a contact paste material (CPM). The system uses electricity and heat to convert CO2 and/or H2O to produce H2, CO or syngas (H2 + CO). These products are critical for industries like steel manufacturing, green plastics, utilities, energy companies and chemical industries.

Flavin Naturals aims to scale-up production of a dairy-based yogurt product through this project.

Transportation Engine project, Egistix is enhancing its Everest platform to meet the sustainable trading needs of the biofuels, reclamation and other sectors. The Transportation Engine project is the first phase, focusing on migrating the transportation engine in our legacy Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) system to the Everest platform. It utilizes artificial intelligence to modify the underlying codebase to be compatible with Saas. By replacing carbon-intensive manual processes with scalable, cloud-based compliance tracking and real-time emissions reporting tools, it enables a faster transition to sustainable commodity trading.

The project will focus on the development of AI-powered functionality to automate manual tasks of Revenue Operations (RevOps) teams.

This project will enable Innovate BC to facilitate the provision of strategic, one-to-one Level 1 (L1) - IP Awareness sessions, and development of a Level 1 (L2) comprehensive IP strategy for IRAP SMEs, in order to increase their business success and to increase IP capabilities in Canada.

Development of an oxidizer for use on storage tanks which vent methane and other VOC’s to the environment. The device is highly efficient, easy to maintain, and able to quantify and report its efficiency, totalized methane converted, and other operational data points to a cloud-based dashboard. The oxidizer can be maintained in the field to ensure high levels of conversion efficiency are realized continuously. The oxidizer product commercialization will open the pathway for development of a catalytic heater with live efficiency reporting and automation as well as an oxidizer with methane slip quantification to be used on natural gas engines.
