Through this 32-month project, Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the need to bolster culturally safe, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive services available to members of historically underserved populations who have experienced sexual and/or gender-based violence in the Ottawa region. Specifically, the project will include (1) conducting a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) audit of ORCC; (2) developing an ORCC-specific DEI toolkit; (3) operationalizing the DEI toolkit recommendations; and (4) monitoring, evaluating and learning from the project implementation.

Canada's Fisheries Fund will transform and drive innovation in the fish and seafood sector in Canada with a focus on developing the sector to better meet growing market demands for sustainably sourced, high-quality fish and seafood products.

Funding will support concept development to identify solutions to National Defence’s Challenge: Counter Uncrewed Aerial Systems (CUAS) Concept Development 2024. Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) and its defence and security partners are seeking CUAS solutions that can detect and/or defeat Micro and Mini UAS with systems that can be integrated into the broader military command and control systems.

Funding will support research and development to identify solutions to National Defence’s Challenge: Lighting the path with AI: Advanced analytics and decision support for first responders. Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) in collaboration with Canada’s safety & security communities are seeking to advance the application of promising advanced decision support technologies including, but not limited to, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), intelligent sensors, wearable technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity technologies (e.g. 5G, Long Range (LoRa)), and synthetic environments technologies (e.g. Virtual Reality (VR), Augment Reality (AR), Extended Reality (XR), Mixed Reality (MR)) in the safety and security domain.

The purpose of the Indigenous Habitat Participation Program and the Salish Sea Initiative, is to support the participation of Indigenous peoples in activities relating to the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat, including the development of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans’ (DFO) policies, program elements and regulations and the development of their technical capacity to support greater involvement in the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitat.

The purpose of the Indigenous Habitat Participation Program- Grant Funding is to meet the legal obligations to support the participation of Indigenous communities in consultations on Departmental Crown conduct (i.e., decisions, such as arrangements, approvals, authorizations and permits) under the Fisheries Act and/or Species at Risk Act.

The Naha Dehe Development Corporation (NDDC), wholly owned by the Nahanni Butte Dene Band, is receiving $696,000 (80% of total project costs) to complete a two-year $870,000 project.

The Hay River Museum Society will undertake a $300,000 (38% of $780,313) non-repayable project over three years to relocate the Heritage Centre building to a higher and more stable adjacent site, rebuild portions damaged by the 2022 flooding, and implement mitigation measures to protect against future flooding.

The Nunavut Community Futures Association (NCFA), an Inuit majority-led not-for-profit, will deliver the Entrepreneurship and Business Development (EBD) program on CanNor's behalf in the Kitikmeot Region, under a three-year External Delivery Organization (XDO) arrangement.
