Advance the collaboratively developed targeted wildlife health surveillance system farther across Inuit Nunangat, build community capacity in wildlife health surveillance, address emerging wildlife health issues, and mobilize Indigenous voices in wildlife management to proactively detect and address human health and wildlife conservation concerns.

The purpose of this Contribution is to provide funding for the purchase and installation of CCTV cameras and signage as well as training on emergency preparedness.

Through this 32-month project, YWCA Halifax will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the need for up-to-date and transformative human resource policies and procedures that are reflective of the YWCA's commitment to equity and inclusion. The project will include jurisdictional scans, legislative reviews, staff interviews and surveys, and a deep dive into current policies and procedures. The outcome will be new HR policies and practices that meet the needs of the organization and its people.

With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, YWCA Halifax will strengthen its organizational capacity by accompanying staff and management in the implementation of the recently updated HR policies and Code of Conduct, by creating a centralized space to access policies and forms, by improving volunteer and donor data management, by providing strategic input on annual fundraising and community engagement, by building and expanding relationships to diversify funding, and by strengthening communications and storytelling. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.

Through this 26-month project, the Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women (GAATW) Canada will strengthen its capacity to advance gender equality in Canadian anti-trafficking responses. It will develop and implement policies and robust processes in the areas of human resources and governance, elaborate strategic planning, create and implement a communications strategy, and initiate advocacy planning in collaboration with key stakeholders. As a result, GAATW Canada will be able to provide collaborative leadership to build and coordinate a national coalition promoting gender equality in anti-trafficking policy and practice through advocacy and education efforts.

With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women Canada will build on their current organizational capacity-building activities in strategic planning, communications, and national partnerships and networks.
