This project will focus on addressing non-profit sector gaps by integrating technology for organizational efficiency, meeting increased demands, and maximizing initiative impact. Key activities include conducting a needs assessment and technology gap analysis, developing a technology roadmap, providing training for skill development, integrating and optimizing technology, piloting technology projects, and conducting thorough performance monitoring and evaluation.

Supplemental funding and extension in early 2026 will allow the organization to conduct an audit and optimize its systems, align data and reporting with WAGE indicators, formalize data governance, and strengthen digital operations, oversight, and sustainability—enhancing efficiency, accountability, and long-term, tech-enabled services for Black and racialized women.

This 33-month project will facilitate the development of a feminist framework to monitor Canada's compliance with international human standards and provide recommendations to ensure that domestic laws and policies encourage women and girls to participate in leadership and decision-making roles. More specifically, FAFIA will enhance the capacity of women’s human rights organizations; increase awareness among women human rights advocates about the role of provincial and territorial legislatures and governments; ensure that the emerging Canadian accountability regime for human rights includes representatives of women’s right advocacy organizations and support participation of women’s human rights advocates in this new regime through the production and dissemination of GBA+ analyses of key international human rights instruments. This project aims to equip women’s human rights organizations with the knowledge, skills and resources to operate more effectively. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of the systemic change project.

Through this 32-month systemic change project, Kingston Employment & Youth Services Inc. will scale the Workplace Inclusion Charter Implementation project to advance women’s economic security and prosperity. It will scale to the Science, Technology, and Manufacturing sectors. It will address barriers to entry, retention, and promotion for women who are racialized, Indigenous, and living with disabilities. To do so, the project will 1) consult women, sector employers, and other relevant stakeholders to deepen understanding of the barriers; 2) tailor the Workplace Inclusion Toolkit informed by findings from consultations and an environmental scan of best practices in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; 3) engage 30 employers to adopt the Workplace Inclusion Charter with the support of Inclusion Coaches, who themselves are women with intersecting identities; 4) facilitate a Community of Practice to sustain learning by employers and support their efforts in change management; and 5) conduct ongoing program review and evaluation in preparation for a final best practices toolkit.

With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Kingston Employment & Youth Services Inc. will A) Scale the Workplace Inclusion Charter to Belleville and Surrounding Regions; B) Deliver Group Based Systemic Change Initiatives; C) Develop Tools for Equitable AI Use in the Workplace; and D) Monitor Outcomes and Evaluate Project Impact.
