It will also support efforts to address its financial capacity and sustainability, and of other queer serving organizations. The project will include the development and implementation of Pride PEI’s first strategic plan, work to expand their governance and operational manuals, policies, and procedures. It will also provide support to other queer serving organizations in their advocacy initiatives.

Scaling up access to justice for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQI+) persons in Kenya’s Coastal Counties through legal counseling, awareness raising and documentation.

Through this 29-month project, Toronto Queer Media & Arts Centre will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address the need to increase organizational governance structures and undertake strategic planning to provide a community art exhibition space in Toronto for work by and about marginalized queer and trans people. The project will review day-to-day and governance policies to support the development of the organization’s staff manual, orientation package and a new five-year organizational strategic plan.

Through this 29-month project, Queer Yukon Society will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality.

It will address: the gaps in knowledge regarding the unique experiences and needs of rurally located queer and gender diverse (RLQGD) folks, in particular RLQGD youth; the need for community-generated public education, youth and family education, and service provider education while considering the intersectionality context such as dis∕ability, race, religion, Indigeneity, and socioeconomic status; the barriers faced by QGD folks who are disproportionately impacted by GBV, experience distinct forms of GBV, and often face additional barriers when reaching out for support related to GBV.

Through this 24-month project, The Pride in Art Society will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address the need for community relationships among 2SLGBTQI+ organizations and individuals, and ensure the future viability of The Pride in Art Society through improved financial planning and development. The project will include developing a Fundraising and Partnerships plan, improving financial planning structures, improving grant writing and development capacity, as well as developing a capacity-building network of local 2SLGBTQI+ organizations.

It will address the issues of ageism, isolation, homophobia ∕transphobia∕ lesbophobia, access to responsive health and social services care, all affecting the ability of the 50+ anglophone queer individuals in Montreal and area to live fully and with dignity.

It will address inclusion, accessibility, and representation for queer and gender nonconforming women artists within the Quebec and Canadian cultural landscapes. The project will include developing and consolidating anti-oppressive human resources management policies; developing partnerships; organizing a conference on issues relating to inclusivity, access, and representation; and creating a pool of diversity, equity, and inclusion consultants for issues of inclusion, accessibility, and representation for queer and gender nonconforming women artists.

Through this 30-month project, Northern BC Queer Connection Society will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality by building a database of resources and collaborating with community partners.

ACNS will address increasing its own 2SLGBTQI+ capacity generally, but especially queer women’s communities not traditionally served, and transgender communities for whom they recently began developing targeted programming.
