This project will develop a next-generation reactor that transforms syngas from waste CO2 and methane into valuable carbon nanofibers. The work will advance design concepts and early testing of key systems to improve efficiency, consistency, and safety. By converting greenhouse gases into high-value materials, the project will support Canadian leadership in clean technology, open new opportunities in advanced manufacturing, and create future jobs in the sustainable materials sector.

The Project will support pilot testing of AI strategies, determine target architecture and quantitative technical objectives for implementation of an AI solution.

The Project will support the development of an innovation plan to explore integrating AI into the Firm’s core business.

The current project enhances Habitat's coho salmon breeding program through genetic evaluations and breeding design. A genetic assessment of Habitat's broodstock will dictate the design of a breeding program.

Revise key fabrication process - currently this is a plasma process, in which the reactant gas enters a remote plasma tube for conversion and the resulting species generated in the plasma then pass into the reactor, reacting with the chemisorbed species. This will be replaced by a thermal process which uses more reactive precursors, to achieve the desired outcomes.

This project will expand and deepen LMI’s in-house knowledge and experience of hands-on life sciences R&D, adding to LMI’s deep skills in physics, chemistry, and systems development.

Cudagra Inc., a Calgary-based tech firm, develops a community building SaaS platform that streamlines recreational sports organization and management. Serving players, organizers, facilities, and leagues, it specializes in product development, UX, and community engagement. Over the next 2–4 years, Cudagra aims to grow in Calgary, expand B2B partnerships, and scale to major cities across Canada. Differentiated by its focus on casual play, the platform integrates scheduling, communication, insights, and facility interaction. Key goals include monetization, analytics, alliances, and IP protection, positioning Cudagra as Canada’s leading recreational sports engagement platform that builds communities and drives tangible business results.

Palomino Inc. is developing an AI-driven workflow automation system that enables business users to create complex document processing pipelines using natural language instructions. The system will leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to interpret document intent and automate actions. It integrates comprehensive PDF operations, document templating, and format conversion capabilities with an intuitive visual workflow builder. This innovation democratizes workflow automation by eliminating technical barriers, allowing organizations to efficiently manage document-centric processes.

As part of the international consortium project "UK Multisector - BioM - MICRO-HTUO”, this project will focus on the validation of the AtomForge platform through the development of a novel treatment for Osteoporosis. The project will demonstrate the real world performance of the platform for use in drug discovery and optimization applications, while demonstrating a more rapid drug discovery method that couples the platform's experimental predictions with the UK partner's experimental methods.

This project enables Xatoms to strengthen its go-to-market capacity by hiring a Commercialization Lead focused on sales, marketing, and customer support for sustainable water purification solutions.
