Purchase robotic equipment to increase production capacity and grow internationally

The project consists of a capital investment in a high end 4K cinema lens (Canon CINE-SERVO 50-1000mm T5.0-T8.9 Lens with SS-41-IASD Kit), a cinematography drone (DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine) and a large data storage system (128TB OWC ThunderBay 8 data storage system).

This project aims to use private sector investments in climate change mitigation and adaptation across Latin America and the Caribbean while promoting gender-responsive, sustainable economic development. The project offers lower-cost and longer-term loans for innovative private-sector projects that need concessional financing to be viable.

Project activities include: (1) investing in climate-smart agriculture practices. This includes drought-resistant seed varieties, irrigation infrastructure, and sustainable land use practices that aim to increase productivity, enhance resilience, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions; (2) scaling up low carbon and climate resilient technologies such as energy storage, wastewater management, and charging infrastructure; (3) restoring sand beaches, dunes, mangroves, and coral reefs to increase coastal resilience and protect the most vulnerable communities from the impacts of climate change; and (4) developing carbon markets in Latin America and the Caribbean by advising and financing borrowing member countries, developing carbon credit methodologies, and increasing transparency in market conditions.

This proposal aims to better explain and quantify the effect of solar wind on the exosphere of Mercury and the Moon. This work will improve model predictions for key elemental species in the exospheres of the Moon and Mercury. This will be accomplished using a multiscale combined theoretical approach employing atomistic modelling along with global exosphere modelling. The project will use atomistic modelling to quantify first of their kind mineral specific surface energies. Results will then be verified and improved through comparison with experimental sputtering data. Findings from atomistic modelling will then be linked to global models to quantify the effect on the predicted global exosphere.

This project aims to enhance the well-being and fulfillment of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of girls, adolescent girls, and young women. It seeks to create an equal and gender-based violence-free environment to strengthen the bodily autonomy of girls (ages 10 to 14), adolescents (ages 15 to 19) and young women (ages 20 to 29), focusing on those most at risk and left behind. The project aims to generate political and technical dialogue at national and territorial levels, particularly in regions with a significant presence of Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities, and Venezuelan refugees and migrants. It also encourages the involvement of government officials, traditional authorities, and civil society organizations where adolescents and young people actively participate.
Project activities include: (1) providing technical assistance to national authorities to develop clear and actionable policy recommendations. It does so to improve existing policies and regulations on SRHR and gender-based violence (GBV); (2) enable capacity development and providing technical assistance in implementing culturally relevant attention models on SRHR for adolescents in selected areas; (3) training GBV services operators at the national and sub-national levels on quality management of GBV cases; (4) establishing life-skills programmes for girls, adolescent girls, and young women in selected areas to enhance autonomies and leadership capacity; and (5) conducting campaigns on gender equality, SRHR, and the right to a life without GBV. These campaigns target boys, young men and girls, adolescent girls, and young women in selected areas with girls, adolescent girls, and young women-led, faith-based organizations and mass media.

This project directly benefits over 40,000 girls, adolescent girls, and young women in the provinces of Ayacucho, Piura and San Juan de Lurigancho district (Lima). It also indirectly benefits 120,000 girls, adolescent girls, and young women due to an improved enabling environment and social behavioural change communications.

This project aims to deliver specialized renewable energy capacity-building to Indigenous Communities in Colombia and Ecuador to empower them to address their needs, drive sustainable change, and participate in the clean energy transition. The project seeks to help create the enabling conditions for adopting clean energy and energy-efficient solutions for Indigenous Peoples to actualize climate change mitigation in Colombia and Ecuador. It also seeks to decrease barriers for Indigenous Peoples to access and benefit from clean energy capacity-building programs. Through accessible and inclusive clean energy needs assessments and policy recommendations by, for, and with Indigenous Nations in Colombia and Ecuador, the project will enable the adoption of more equitable practices leading to Indigenous-led clean energy solutions.

This project aims to promote accountable and inclusive governance to strengthen peace and reconciliation among diverse communities. It seeks to empower minority ethnic communities and vulnerable groups to demand inclusive public services and build the capacity of national and sub-national government authorities to deliver public services. Project activities include: (1) developing diversity plans in 15 government institutions; (2) developing tools and guidelines for gender equality focal points in the public service; (3) providing grants to civil society organizations to advocate for inclusive public services; and (4) supporting women’s rights organizations in facilitating intercultural and interfaith dialogue.

The overarching objective of the work supported by the UN Voluntary Trust Fund for Victims of Torture is to assist victims of torture and their families to rebuild their lives through the award of grants through a variety of channels, including: civil society organizations, associations of victims, private and public hospitals, legal clinics, public interest law firms, and community organizations.

This project aims to improve law enforcement capacities and community resilience to violent extremism and gender-based violence (GBV) in Tunisia. Project activities include: (1) a needs assessment and study on the interconnections between violence against women and violent extremism to inform evidence based interventions; (2) the implementation of community-led interventions and actions plans to address the key socioeconomic drivers of violent extremism and GBV, while strengthening the coordination and collaborative relationships between the Internal Security Forces (ISF), civil society organizations, and women leaders; (3) capacity building for the ISF and specialized GBV units to enhance the delivery of gender sensitive services to women victims of violence and the use of community policing approaches to prevent violence against women and violent extremism; and (4) improvements to critical infrastructure and IT equipment to enhance effective GBV and PVE investigations in accordance with international gender and human rights standards.

This project aims to support the Haitian National Police in tackling sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) caused by gang violence in Haiti. This is done through a survivor-centered and gender-responsive approach.
