Grants and Contributions
About this information
In June 2016, as part of the Open Government Action Plan, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) committed to increasing the transparency and usefulness of grants and contribution data and subsequently launched the Guidelines on the Reporting of Grants and Contributions Awards, effective April 1, 2018.
The rules and principles governing government grants and contributions are outlined in the Treasury Board Policy on Transfer Payments. Transfer payments are transfers of money, goods, services or assets made from an appropriation to individuals, organizations or other levels of government, without the federal government directly receiving goods or services in return, but which may require the recipient to provide a report or other information subsequent to receiving payment. These expenditures are reported in the Public Accounts of Canada. The major types of transfer payments are grants, contributions and \'other transfer payments\'.
Included in this category, but not to be reported under proactive disclosure of awards, are (1) transfers to other levels of government such as Equalization payments as well as Canada Health and Social Transfer payments. (2) Grants and contributions reallocated or otherwise redistributed by the recipient to third parties; and (3) information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Development and commercialization of spectrally tunable white module for applications requiring precise control of light delivery
876303
Metalumen is seeking to expand their current LED Lighting portfolio with adding spectrally tunable white technology into their current and new products. While the recently developed tunable white technology combines cool and warm white LEDs that can be individually controlled to produce colour temperatures in the range of 2700 K to over 6500 K it cannot change the spectral characteristics of the emitted light to match dynamic range of natural daylight.x000D
The target of this project is to develop spectrally tunable white with multi-channel LED solutions that expand the range of adjustability of lighting environments with precisely timed and controlled shifts of light intensity and spectral characteristics necessary for circadian entrainment.

Pacylex has discovered a biomarker that is lower in certain cancers than normal tissue and that confers sensitivity to our drug. With extensive proof-of-efficacies on our precision medicine strategy in vitro and in vivo in hand, this project enables the next steps of animal safety testing of our lead drug PCLX-001 and further mechanism of action studies to enable an investigative new drug (IND) Health Canada filing so we can eventually start Phase I trials, ideally in Edmonton, AB, Canada.
