The project aims to strengthen St. Thomas-Elgin's capacity to support individuals who use substances, particularly those at risk of opioid-related harms. By expanding the continuum of services, it will address gaps in care access. Including plans to improve access to low-barrier counseling and trauma-informed care part of a system redesign to implement a stepped care model. It will also facilitate minor capital needs at the local emergency shelter to better suit its role as a service hub for the target population.

The goal of this project is to provide Harm Reduction Outreach services to Indigenous clients living within the 14 member First Nations of the Tribal Council. The project will support hiring 2 outreach workers to provide mobile services to clients within the various nations. This project will allow outreach workers to provide information to community members about harm reduction services, supply naloxone kits, make referrals to treatment services and deliver cultural support services such as brushings.

Broadband project that will improve access to high-speed Internet to 2,925 households located in 12 communities in the Cariboo region of the province of British Columbia using fibre technology.

The purpose of this funding is to support Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation in reviewing and commenting on REGDOC 3.2.2 – Indigenous Engagement.

The world is striving to settle and develop the Moon. However, no one can stay there for longer than a few days without affordable ways to obtain the critical energy needed to survive the extreme cold. Volta will solve this problem beaming energy from satellites in lunar orbit to energy receivers on the surface specifically designed to work on the Moon. The first of these receivers will be developed and tested by Volta in this project, with a breakthrough technology that can ensure stability, and performance for unprecedented mission opportunities. Furthermore, Volta will send a small-scale version of its receiver to the Moon.

This project aims to develop an AI-powered system using satellite imagery and remote sensing technology to monitor biodiversity and track ecosystem changes in New Brunswick, including habitat features, forest regrowth, and the impacts of ecosystem management and climate change.

This initiative aims to develop cost-effective monitoring tools for Northern Canada’s ecosystems, collaborating with government and Indigenous partners to track climate and biodiversity impacts and guide future SAR land monitoring strategies.

Contributes to the recovery of endangered, threatened, and other species of concern, by engaging Canadians in conservation actions to benefit wildlife and to protect aquatic species at risk.
