GH Power Inc. is advancing a proprietary aluminum–water reactor that transforms recycled aluminum into three zero-carbon products: high-purity alumina for EV batteries, semiconductors, and specialty glass; fuel cell grade green hydrogen, and usable thermal energy. This project will validate continuous 24/7 reactor operation at TRL 9, confirm product compliance with customer specifications, and deliver a modular reactor design for global commercialization—positioning Canada as a leader in clean hydrogen and critical minerals.

The project aims to develop cutting-edge hybrid DC-DC converter, LTO battery, and gateway controller, and an integrated system combining all three of them. This includes efficient DC-DC hybrid DC-DC converters with solar and battery inputs and a telecom 48V output, high-performance energy storage LTO batteries with re charging capabilities, and a gateway controller that allows cascading of power modules and communication for monitoring and control of the power system. The objective is to significantly contribute to the progress of integrating renewable (solar) energy and emissions-free, low cost, low maintenance, reliable telecom power systems, and replace diesel generators as a primary source of power.

Acentury will participate with consortium partners to research and create a process for creating “digital twins” for communication networks, also known as “Network Digital Twins” or NDTs.
The NDT will replicate a physical network, allowing for testing, optimization and simulation of network activity in a virtual environment. The purpose of the NDT / LAMTA integration is for operators to use "LAMTA NDT" to test their networks virtually, without always needing a physical lab.
Acentury will leverage our expertise in network element configuration, deployment and testing to generate customer specific NDTs that support a wide range of use cases.

Software development and demonstration project to enhance a route optimization platform that plans and optimizes delivery routes, tracks delivery progress, and automates customer notifications with estimated delivery time of arrivals. Improved algorithms will reduce time spent on the road and fuel consumption by at least 20% for delivery trucks through increased routing efficiency and applied AI technologies.

Elemental Trucks is developing a next-gen hydrogen fuel cell Class 8 truck with superior performance and cost efficiency. Key innovations include a new chassis design, improved fuel cell and battery integration, AI-driven energy management, hybrid powertrains, and optimized thermal management. Designed in Canada, our truck targets a $7–10B domestic market, leveraging strong policy support and top-tier talent. Ideal for heavy-haul, urban, and cold chain fleets, it offers long range, fast refueling, high payload capacity, and zero emissions. By 2030, our trucks aim to reach TCO parity with diesel.

The Canada Graduate Scholarships – Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplements (CGS-MSFSS) Program supports high-calibre Canadian graduate students in building global linkages and international networks through the pursuit of exceptional research experiences at research institutions abroad. By accessing international scientific research and training, CGS-MSFSS recipients will contribute to strengthening the potential for collaboration between Canadian and foreign institutions.

The fellowships are also intended to secure a supply of highly qualified Canadians with leading-edge scientific and research skills for Canadian industry, government, and universities.

The NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program (PGS D) provides financial support to high calibre scholars who are engaged in a doctoral program in the natural sciences or engineering. This support allows these scholars to fully concentrate on their studies and seek out the best research mentors in their chosen fields.
