The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are:
• To provide recognition and funding to academic health research trainees;
• To provide a reliable supply of highly skilled and qualified researchers.

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to:
• Enable investigators to co-create and undertake comparative effectiveness and/or implementation science iCTs with patient partners and multidisciplinary teams by supporting the development and testing of innovative methodologies and design, integrating the principles of SPOR;
• Support the application of innovative clinical trial designs, including advancements in trauma-informed designs; equity, diversity and inclusion; and inclusion of individuals who have historically been excluded.
• Build capacity for iCT methods and research through increased intensity, i.e., number of trialists, strengthening iCT research capability nationally, in alignment with the SPOR Capacity Development Framework.

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to:

1. Promote research independence and academic research career readiness of highly qualified post-doctoral researchers, clinicians and PhD-holding research associates belonging to specific underrepresented groups;
2. Increase the number of funded researchers from specific underrepresented groups conducting excellent research who secure their first independent research faculty position in a Canadian academic, health system or research institution; and
3. Provide funded researchers from specific underrepresented groups with early career support to enhance their probability of future success in obtaining independent research funding and launching successful research faculty careers in Canada that will contribute to the creation and/or use of health-related knowledge to improve the health of Canadians.

The objectives of this funding opportunity are to:

• Generate knowledge syntheses that will identify evidence-gaps and build evidence-based knowledge related to the promotion of brain health and reduction of risk for age-related cognitive impairment;
• Mobilize knowledge on the current state of science that is relevant, equitable and accessible (i.e., that identifies the current state of knowledge and gaps and is communicated effectively); and,
• Strengthen research excellence and ensure maximum research impact through consideration of diverse biological and/or socio-cultural identity factors in research design, including diverse, equitable and inclusive research methods, such as those based in Indigenous ways of knowing.

The specific objectives of the knowledge mobilization component are to:

• Enhance a common understanding between stakeholders on promotion of brain health and risk reduction for age-related cognitive impairment;
• Generate accessible KM products for dissemination that are tailored to relevant stakeholders based on the knowledge synthesis and includes equity, diversity and inclusion and Indigenous rights considerations, as appropriate;
• Foster collaboration and partnerships between stakeholders; and,
• Increase usefulness and relevant uptake of evidence/knowledge by stakeholders, including partners and knowledge users.

t: SUPPORT Units will develop jurisdictional centres of expertise to enhance patient-oriented research and facilitate studies involving patients and/or patient records. SUPPORT Units are intended to: • Identify the needs of patients and knowledge users and facilitate research that addresses these needs. • Provide a critical mass of highly specialized and multi-disciplinary methodological expertise in patient-oriented research and its application. • Assist decision makers and investigators to identify and design relevant research studies, conduct biostatistical analyses, manage data, provide and teach project management skills and ensure studies meet all relevant regulatory standards. • Advance methods and training in comparative effectiveness research and develop the next generation of methodologists. • Provide timely access to linked data and integrate existing or new databases.
