The Canada Graduate Scholarships to Honour Nelson Mandela celebrate Nelson Mandela’s legacy, and his tireless pursuit of peace, democracy, justice and freedom through learning, understanding and education. The honour of having their scholarship named a “Canada Graduate Scholarship to Honour Nelson Mandela,” is granted to select Canada Graduate Scholarship (Master’s and Doctoral) who's research aligns with at least one of five themes championed by Mandela: national unity; democracy; freedom and human rights; leadership; children’s participation in society; and children’s health.

The honour of having their scholarship named a “Canada Graduate Scholarship to Honour Nelson Mandela,” is granted to select Canada Graduate Scholarship (Master’s and Doctoral) who's research aligns with at least one of five themes championed by Mandela: national unity; democracy; freedom and human rights; leadership; children’s participation in society; and children’s health.

The new Active Transportation Master Plan will analyse the lessons learned since the previous plans and develop and strengthen the direction taken in the previous plan.

This is done by strengthening global investment networks, improving knowledge and awareness, and reducing barriers to investment by supporting CAFIID’s Communities of Practice, developing case studies and tools, hosting in-country and virtual learning events, and facilitating direct investor-investee connections.

Project activities include: 1) developing an analytical report detailing the main challenges, needs, and vulnerabilities in the WAEMU border areas, based on disaggregated data, including gender-specific and climate data; 2) developing a synthesis document identifying lessons learned and good practices from previous projects, intended for donors and regional integration organizations; 3) providing a strategic note with concrete recommendations to support the design of future interventions that are better aligned with realities on the ground.

Workshops will include mechanical, riding and volunteering activities where participants will learn how to build their own bicycles, ride them safely, and then use these new skills to give back to their communities.

With more training moving to on-line format evolving the learning management system, evolving this product will allow 1life to achieve its goals; specifically providing clients with the ability to export training courses so updates can be better managed, enabling courses to be taken by users offline, connection with the Safety ROI Dashboard, and the ability to assign courses to temporary or external workers.

This project will create and pilot a peer advocacy prototype partner with new municipalities to pilot Gender-Based Analysis Plus; create a peer advocacy learning module that can be used in future systems-change projects; and expand its reach with the inclusion of more cities through the development and implementation of new resources and workshops.

To achieve this, the project will develop and support online communities where young women can exchange resources, learn from shared experiences, and organize for systemic change.

It will also build capacity around providing access to the learning and development opportunities that staff and board members require to meaningfully contribute to the organization, and to ensure alignment with the organization’s vision, mission, and values, best serve the target population, while applying a Gender-Based Analysis Plus lens.
