The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings help promote science and research by fostering the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experience between and among Nobel Laureates, scientists of different generations, cultures, and disciplines.

The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings help promote science and research by fostering the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experience between and among Nobel Laureates, scientists of different generations, cultures, and disciplines.

The Secretariat on Responsible Conduct of Research (SRCR), in conjunction with the Panel on Research Ethics (PRE) and the Panel on Responsible Conduct of Research (PRCR), administer a grant program to support events that complement their mandate to promote research ethics and the responsible conduct of research.

• The CIHR Institute of Indigenous Peoples’ Health (CIHR-IIPH) will provide funding for applications that are relevant to its mandate:
o The CIHR-IIPH fosters the advancement of a national health research agenda to improve and promote the health of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples in Canada, through research, knowledge translation and capacity building. The Institute's pursuit of research excellence is enhanced by respect for community research priorities and Indigenous knowledges, values and cultures.

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to:

• Increase and advance the development of gene therapies for rare disease clinical trials in Canada;
• Generate the evidence required for first-in-human clinical trials, in part by working with Canada’s biomanufacturing capacity (National Research Council of Canada) and health technology regulator (Health Canada); and,
• Increase current and future capacity across the Canadian rare disease landscape (i.e., among researchers, knowledge users, patient(s)/caregiver(s)/family) to improve readiness of gene therapies for first-in-human clinical trials.

The ICS Program is designed to foster community development by providing grants and awards to individuals and organizations for the purposes of: - Enabling research and knowledge translation activities where the circumstances fall outside of CIHR's current suite of funding programs. - Supporting individuals and organizations whose goals are consistent with CIHR and its Institutes' vision, mandate and strategic directions. The ICS Program is not intended to support the direct cost of research (e.g., pilot projects, feasibility studies or operating grants), principal and co-investigator salaries or research equipment

The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) promotes international collaboration in basic research focused on the elucidation of the sophisticated and complex mechanisms of living organisms. HFSP supports novel, innovative and interdisciplinary basic research focused on the complex mechanisms of living organisms through fellowship and research grant programs. In all HFSP programs, a clear emphasis is placed on novel collaboration that bring biologists together to focus on problems at the frontier of the life sciences.

The Project Grant program is expected to:
• Support a diverse portfolio of health-related research and knowledge translation proposals at any stage, from discovery to application, including commercialization;
• Promote relevant collaborations across disciplines, professions, and sectors; and
• Contribute to the creation and use of health-related knowledge
