The project will focus on sound recordings of stories and songs to simplify the process of searching by title, name of singer or storyteller, year and place of recording. This project would allow us to continue our collaboration with the Université de Poitiers in France, making our traditional songs accessible to researchers everywhere.

This project aims at appraising and describing 2,000 AV materials and digitizing and making available 600 sound and audio-visual recordings documenting Canada’s architectural heritage. These materials, which are unique and of national historical significance, are currently inaccessible to the public in addition to being vulnerable to physical deterioration and technological obsolescence.

The proposed project will publish 1300 image and document records with accessibility assets to grunt gallery’s online archive. Specifically, this will entail the creation and metadata population of records in grunt's archival database, the upload of existing digitized objects to those records, and the creation of two types of accessibility assets: visual descriptions for images and transcripts for documents.

St. Paul’s Anglican Church (Lindsay) Archives Description and Access Project strives to gain control over the church's vast collection of archival holdings, dating back almost 200 years, in the interests of preserving them and making them accessible to parishioners and researchers. This undertaking will involve rehousing the records in accordance with best practices; adding archival descriptions to records; digitizing/scanning photographs, and increasing access via provincial, national, and international database portals.

We want to fund a one-year position for an Archives Assistant in our consolidated archives in London, Ontario to provide a BIPOC candidate with experience in archival work. The Sisters of St. Joseph understand that representation matters and are committed to increase diversity within the archival profession. This project will carry out preservation, arrangement, description on our congregational annals and St. Joseph's Hospital and Nursing School, London records. Oral history recordings will be assessed and digitized.

This project will increase access to a part of Inuit and Canadian documentary heritage and raise awareness of ICC Canada’s innovation and capacity for archival management and outreach.

Our project aims to preserve, share and increase access to recordings, print media and artifacts important to Caldwell First Nation's history, currently placed in storage in our administrative offices, scheduled to be consolidated at a dedicated archival facility.

This project aims to digitize, rehouse, and add items to the organization’s online database. Digitizing these items will allow RMDC to utilize these collections to fill in gaps in Rossland’s documentary history as well as increase public access to and awareness of the collection. The organization will train staff and volunteers to learn the software and steps needed to carry out the project.

The project aims to interview Elders and community members to capture their stories and traditional knowledge. These interviews will cover topics like language revitalization, traditional governance, medicine, land stewardship, and family histories. The collection will include both written transcriptions and audio recordings of the interviews.

This project will ensure the preservation and accessibility of records added to the Stó:lo Library and Archives - thereby increasing access to, and awareness of, the history of the Stó:lo Nation, an organization of Stó:lo communities which has its roots in several forerunner organizations focused on Stó:lo governance and rights and title, including participation in the modern treaty process, dating back to the 1970s.
